Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper container wherein whether the container is good can be easily determined by image processing. SOLUTION: The paper container includes a paint film 3 on a surface of a container body 2 which is three-dimensionally formed mainly of pulp fibers, while glossiness of a surface of the paint film 3 is 20 or less. The coat film 3 contains inorganic fillers whose average grain diameter is 0.05 to 5 μm. A form of the inorganic filler is preferably spherical, rodlike, or flat such as platelike or scalelike. Pencil hardness of the film 3 is 4B or more. The paper container has water vapor permeability of 50 g/(m2.24 h) or less.
