Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper capable of exhibiting excellent engagement power of a hook member with a loop member regardless of the direction of release when the hook member is released from the loop member.
SOLUTION: The disposable diaper has the hook member 63 consisting of a base sheet 64 and a number of engagement projections 65 erected from the surface of the base sheet 64. The hook member 63 is fixed on another sheet material 62. The diaper has areas at both ends or one end of the hook member 63 in the width direction of the diaper, in which a joint part 67 where the base sheet 64 is jointed on the other sheet material 62 and a non-joint part 68 where the base sheet 64 is not jointed to the other sheet material are alternately formed in the longitudinal direction of the diaper.
