Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a filmy molded article which is suitable as an oxygen-barrier film having a high oxygen-barrier property even in a high humidity atmosphere, and to provide a filmy molded article. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the filmy molded article includes a process of forming a film of suspension containing cellulose fibers and a process of drying the article by heating subsequently. The cellulose fibers contain fibers of an average fiber diameter ≤200 nm, wherein cellulose that composes the cellulose fibers has a carboxyl group content of 0.1-2 mmol/g. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gelled body having high elasticity and high heat resistance and a method for producing the gelled body.SOLUTION: The gelled body contains a cellulose nanofiber and a liquid organic medium having the vapor pressure smaller than that of water at 20°C and ≤50 mass% water content. A hydrophilic organic medium can be used as the organic medium. The method for producing the gelled body comprises the steps of: mixing the cellulose nanofiber with the organic medium in a dispersion medium to obtain a gel precursor; and removing the dispersion medium from the gel precursor.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gel for use in adhesive patches which is high in heat stability and is excellent in shape retentivity.SOLUTION: The gel for use in adhesive patches containing cellulose nanofibers, glycerol or a derivative thereof, and a functionalizing agent. This gel is produced desirably by mixing cellulose nanofibers, glycerol or a derivative thereof, and the functionalizing agent in a dispersion medium to obtain a composition for the preparation of the gel and removing the dispersion medium from the composition. Further, there is provided a composition for the preparation of the gel, which is the composition containing cellulose nanofibers, glycerol or a derivative thereof, and a dispersion medium.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additive for modifying a resin suitably usable for producing a cellulose nanofiber composite molding where the cellulose nanofiber is highly dispersed in a resin.SOLUTION: This additive for modifying a resin includes a cellulose nanofiber obtained by making an N-oxyl compound to act on a natural cellulose fiber and/or the cellulose nanofiber derivative, and a resin particle. It is preferable that the cellulose nanofiber and/or the cellulose nanofiber derivative is present on the surface of the resin particle. It is preferable that a thermoplastic resin is used as the resin. The additive for modifying a resin is preferably produced by: preparing an emulsion containing cellulose nanofiber obtained by making an N-oxyl compound act on a natural cellulose fiber and/or a derivative of the cellulose nanofiber, a resin particle and a liquid medium; and removing the liquid medium from the emulsion by drying.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous dispersion which permits the manufacturing of a filmy material having high barrier properties against steam and oxygen.SOLUTION: This aqueous dispersion includes a fine cellulose fiber having a carboxyl-group content of 0.1-3 mmol/g, a layered inorganic compound, and a basic substance. The mass ratio (the basic substance/the layered inorganic compound) of the basic substance to the layered inorganic compound is preferably 0.001-10. The basic substance is preferably volatile matter. This aqueous dispersion can be suitably manufactured by mixing an aqueous dispersion, which contains the layered inorganic compound and the basic substance, with the fine cellulose fiber having a carboxyl-group content of 0.1-3 mmol/g.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas barrier molded body that has high gas barrier properties to various gases such as oxygen.SOLUTION: The gas barrier molded body comprises: a fine cellulose fiber having a carboxyl group content of 0.1-3 mmol/g; and a polyvinyl alcohol. It is preferable that the content of the polyvinyl alcohol to the fine cellulose fiber is 0.1-10 mass%. It is preferable that the saponification degree of the polyvinyl alcohol is 90 mol% or greater.

SOLUTION: Cellulose fibers have an average fiber diameter of 200 nm or below, and the content of the carboxyl group of cellulose constituting the cellulose fibers is 0.1-2 mmol/g.
