    Abstract: Un proceso para numerar sustratos que tienen impresiones de títulos impresas sobre ellos, comprendiendo cada uno de dichos sustratos una pluralidad de impresiones de títulos que están dispuestas en k columnas y n filas sobre el sustrato; en que el producto k * n es un múltiplo entero de diez o de veinticinco, comprendiendo dicho proceso el paso de numerar las tiradas sucesivas de 10 N sustratos cada una, asignando a cada una de las impresiones de título un número de serie Serial, siendo calculado el número de serie Serial por la fórmula: donde Start es un número de partida desde el cual se inicia la numeración, α es igual a -1 o a +1, dependiendo de que la numeración se efectúe en sentido descendente o, respectivamente, en sentido ascendente, r identifica la tirada de N 10 sustratos sucesivos, i y j identifican respectivamente la columna y la fila en el sustrato en donde la impresión del título a ser numerado esté situada, s es un número que identifica el sustrato sobre el cual está situada la impresión de título a ser numerada y MOD(x; y) designa la denominada función de módulo, la cual devuelve el resto entero de la división de y por x, en donde los dígitos N + 2 y N + 1 del número de serie Serial son producidos por la actuación sucesiva de una rueda de numeración doble (13, 14) que lleva una secuencia predeterminada de pares de dígitos para los dígitos N + 2 y N + 1.
