Disclosed are an encoding/decoding method of an intra prediction mode using two candidate intra prediction modes, and a device for using the same. The decoding method of the intra prediction mode comprises the steps of: determining whether an intra prediction mode of a present prediction unit is the same as a first candidate intra prediction mode or as a second candidate intra prediction mode on the basis of 1-bit information; and determining, among said first candidate intra prediction mode and said second candidate intra prediction mode, which candidate intra prediction mode is the same as the intra prediction mode of said present prediction unit on the basis of additional 1-bit information, if the intra prediction mode of the present prediction unit is the same as at least either the first candidate intra prediction mode or the second candidate intra prediction mode, and decoding the intra prediction mode of the present prediction unit. Thus, the invention increases encoding/decoding efficiency and reduces complexity.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to image encoding and image decoding. A method for encoding images according to the present invention comprises the steps of: acquiring division information from peripheral blocks of an encoding target block with respect to the peripheral blocks; predicting the division of the encoding target block on the basis of the acquired division information; encoding information on the difference between the practical division information of the encoding target information and the predictive division information predicted in the predicting process; and transmitting the encoded information. The present invention can encode/decode the division information of the encoding/decoding target blocks using the information about the peripheral blocks.
Abstract:
According to the present invention, a method for decoding a video in a skip mode comprises the steps of: deriving a pixel value of an estimation block for a current block; deriving an error compensation value for the current block; and deriving a pixel value of a final prediction block using the pixel value of the prediction block and the error compensation value. According to the present invention, the amount of transmitted information is minimized, and the efficiency of video encoding / decoding is improved.

Disclosed are a method for inducing a prediction motion vector and an apparatus using the same. An image decoding method can include: a step of determining the information related to a plurality of spatial candidate prediction motion vectors from peripheral predicted blocks of a predicted target block; and a step of determining the information related to temporal candidate prediction motion vectors on the basis of the information related to the plurality of spatial candidate prediction motion vectors. Accordingly, the present invention can reduce complexity and can enhance coding efficiency when inducing the optimum prediction motion vector.
