Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for initiating a calibration protocol performed by a wireless power receiver in a wireless power transmission system, and an apparatus using same, the method comprising: transmitting information about negotiation termination to a wireless power transmitter, receiving ACK from the wireless power transmitter in response to the information about the negotiation termination; initiating the calibration protocol according to entering a power transmission phase on the basis that the ACK is received; transmitting, to the wireless power transmitter, at least one piece of information related to construction of a calibration curve; and transmitting, to the wireless power transmitter, information about termination of the calibration protocol, wherein the wireless power receiver transmits, to the wireless power transmitter, the at least one piece of information within a timeout period for each of the at least one piece of information.
