Abstract:
A method and apparatus for performing transmit (Tx) power control in a convergence network of a plurality of communication systems. A method for performing transmit power control (TPC) in a plurality of communication system convergence networks includes receiving, by a first entity of a first communication system, a TPC information request message requesting information associated with transmit power control (TPC) from a second entity of a second communication system; upon receiving a request of the TPC information request message, transmitting a first TPC information reporting message, which includes a maximum transmit (Tx) power value of the first entity and an interference signal value caused by a neighbor entity of the first entity, to the second entity; receiving a TPC command message, which includes information of the maximum Tx power value of the first entity adjusted based on the maximum Tx power value of the first entity and the interference signal value, from the second entity; and adjusting the maximum Tx power value of the first entity based on the information regarding the adjusted maximum Tx power of the first entity.
Abstract:
A method for performing device to device (D2D) communication in a wireless communication system and a user equipment for the method are disclosed. The method for allowing a D2D user equipment to perform D2D communication comprises the steps of determining at least one D2D communication group a of a plurality of D2D communication groups; and giving RNTI corresponding to the determined at least one D2D communication group a to a D2D transmitting user equipment i and a D2D receiving user equipment j of a D2D link (i, j), wherein the step of determining at least one D2D communication group a of a plurality of D2D communication groups includes determining the at least one D2D communication group a, which satisfies a first condition and a second condition, by receiving information on the at least one D2D communication group, which satisfies the first condition, from the D2D receiving user equipment j and receiving information on the at least one D2D communication group, which satisfies the second condition, from the D2D transmitting user equipment i, and the second condition is obtained by receiving a first group interference value from the D2D receiving user equipment within the plurality of D2D communication groups, determining a minimum value of the first group interference value as a second group interference value, and transmitting the second group interference value to the D2D transmitting user equipment i.
Abstract:
A method and appartus of uplink synchronization in a multiple carrier system is provided. After establishing Uplink synchronization for a primary carrier, a secondary carrier based on activation information via the primary carrier is activated. A periodic ranging via the secondary carrier is performed to adjust uplink synchronization for the secondary carrier.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for communication using multiple carriers is provided. A mobile station receives information regarding at least one assigned carrier selected from the available carriers based on the multiple carrier capability from a base station. The mobile station activates or inactivates the at least one assigned carrier by receiving a message comprising information indicating activation or inactivation of the at least one assigned carrier from the base station. Signaling overhead for managing multiple carriers may be reduced.
Abstract:
In the present disclosure, a transmitting device transmits a first message comprising i) a first random access preamble with a first random access preamble identifier (RAPID) and ii) a first uplink payload; receives a random access response (RAR) medium access control (MAC) protocol data unit (PDU) including i) a first field set to represent presence of one or more RAPIDs and ii) the one or more RAPIDs; determines whether both of the first RAP and the first payload is successfully transmitted, based on whether the one or more RAPIDs include the first RAPID; and monitors a second message related to the first message based on determining that both of the first RAP and the first payload is successfully transmitted.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for determination of a maximum number of uplink retransmissions in a wireless communication system is provided. A wireless device receives, from a network, information related to a first retransmission number for a first logical channel and second retransmission number for a second logical channel, determines a retransmission number of a data unit among the first retransmission number and the second retransmission number, and transmits, to the network, information for the retransmission number of the data unit.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for reconstruction of a protocol data unit (PDU) for fast and reliable retransmission of a service data unit (SDU) after maximum retransmission is provided. Upon determining that a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) retransmission of a first PDU including a specific SDUis unsuccessful, a wireless device constructs a second PDU including the first SDU which is prioritized to be included in the second PDU.
Abstract:
In the present disclosure, a transmitting device generates a medium access control (MAC) protocol data unit (PDU) including a MAC subPDU, and transmits the MAC PDU. The MAC subPDU includes a MAC subheader for a MAC service data unit (SDU) of a logical channel. The MAC subheader includes a length field regarding a length of the MAC SDU of the logical channel, and no logical channel identifier (LCID) field for identifying the logical channel.
