There is provided a method of playing a content stored in a storage device which is connectable, including: detecting whether the storage device is connected; receiving certification information from the detected storage device; transmitting, to a server, the certification information; receiving, from the server, an encrypted media file and a certification list based on the certification information, wherein the certification list is used for authenticating eligibility of at least one of a player, the storage device, and the server; storing the encrypted media file to the storage device and updating the certification list; and playing the encrypted media file based on the updated certification list.

The terminal device acquires contents information of the audio-visual content based on the part of the audio-visual content. Provided are a method of receiving an enhanced service and a video display device thereof. The method includes: receiving an audio-visual (AV) content; extracting first feature information from the received AV content; receiving a database including at least one of content information, enhanced service information, and an enhanced service, which correspond to the first feature information, from a first server by transmitting the extracted first feature information to the first server; storing the database received from the first server in a memory; extracting second feature information from the received AV content; and searching and obtaining one of content information, enhanced service information, and an enhanced service, which correspond to the extracted feature information, from the database.

The method includes: configuring the media content with a plurality of representations; dividing the configured representation into a plurality segments; aligning subsegments in the segment; and transmitting one of the representations, wherein the subsegments are aligned to allow the earliest presentation time of the kth subsegment in the first representation to be greater than the latest presentation time of the k-1th subsegment in the second representation among the representations.

Disclosed are a method and device for transmitting and receiving broadcast signals. The disclosed reception method comprises a step for extracting second programme table information which indicates the association properties between a plurality of programmes, the programmes being obtained by using a broadcast stream which comprises at least one programme, programme table information which indicates the broadcast stream, and at least one broadcast service, from a received broadcast signal. The method further comprises a step for parsing the broadcast stream by using the extracted programme table information; and a step for acquiring information about the groups to which the plurality of programmes belong by using the extracted second programme table information.

A plasma display panel and a plasma display apparatus are disclosed. The plasma display panel includes a front substrate on which a scan electrode and a sustain electrode are positioned parallel to each other, an upper dielectric layer positioned on the scan and sustain electrodes, a rear substrate on which an address electrode is positioned to intersect the scan and sustain electrodes, a lower dielectric layer positioned on the address electrode, a barrier rib that is positioned between the front substrate and the rear substrate and partitions a discharge cell, and a phosphor layer that is positioned inside the discharge cell and includes YVPO4:Eu. The scan electrode and the sustain electrode each having a single-layered structure.

The present invention discloses a method for transmitting and receiving data of a sink device by using HDMI (High Definition Media Interface). A method for transmitting and receiving data of a source device by using HDMI comprises requesting a sink device to read out EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) when the sink device is connected; receiving from the sink device EDID including decompression capability information of the sink device; transmitting operation parameter information determined on the basis of the EDID, where the operation parameter information includes compression metadata; and transmitting the compressed video data.
