    Abstract: PURPOSE:To facilitate the setting of a distance while dispensing with the replacement of parts, by inputting outputs of two logarithmic amplifier circuits to a differential amplifier in a change-over possible manner and adjusting the reference voltage of one comparator to perform the region reflective type and diffusion reflective type settings of the distance by one resistor. CONSTITUTION:When a change-over SW12 is set to an a-side, a diffusion reflective type mode is established and, when to a b-side, a region reflective type mode is set. Because the output of a second logarithmic amplifier circuit 5 and that of a third logarithmic amplifier 8 are inputted to a differential amplifier circuit 6 in a change-over possible manner and the reference voltage of a first comparator 7 is adjusted to the same variable resistor VR2 to perform the diffusion reflective type and diffusion reflective type settings of a distance, the setting of the distance can be performed by the same variable resistor in both uses as the region reflective type and the diffusion reflective type and the replacement of parts becomes unnecessary. Because a light receiving amount becomes important in the use as the diffusion reflective type, a photocurrent to the total quantity of light irradiating a position detection element 1 may be handled in order to prevent the erroneous operation of a circuit caused by the lack of the light receiving quantity.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify a circuit, and to realize a digital photodetecting photoelectric converting circuit which can respond enough even in case of a high speed, by providing a constant-current circuit for converting a photocurrent to a variation of a base-emitter voltage of a control outputting transistor (TR). CONSTITUTION:When there is no optical input, a photocurrent does not flow to a photodiode D1, and a TRQ2 becomes off. In this case, a TRQ1 is biased by a constant-voltage diode D2 and becomes on, and a constant-voltage output is obtained in an output Vout. This output can be Adjusted by a resistance R4. On the other hand, when there is an optical input and the TRQ2 is turned on, the Q2 makes a resistance R3 a load and makes a current flow. When a potential difference generated in the resistance R3 becomes large up to an extent that it cannot be disregarded comparing with the diode D2, the TRQ1 is turned off and the output Vout becomes ''0''V. In this way, with respect to the optical input, a phase inversion output whose waveform has been regenerated is obtained as the output Vout, and an output voltage is controlled by a base.emitter voltage, therefore, the output voltage is varied as an exponential function even in case of a variation of an input current, and an output voltage having a sufficient sharpness is obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect not only a body but also difference in color of a body to be detected, by switching light sources, whose peak wavelengths are different, and projecting light on the body to be detected. CONSTITUTION:A red LED6 and a green LED7 are switched by a switch 3, which is controlled by a clock 5. The LEDs 6 and 7 alternately emit light. The projected light is reflected by a body to be detected and detected by a photodiode 8, which is a light detector. Then, the output of the diode 8 is supplied to a switch 4, which is controlled by the clock 5, through an amplifier 9. The switch 4 is switched. The output of the switch 4 is outputted to a red-color detecting output terminal 12 and a green-color detecting output terminal 13 through holding circuits 10 and 11, respectively. Therefore, when the body to be detected has a red color, the output is generated at the output terminal 12. When the body has a green color, the output is generated at the output terminal 13. Thus, not only the body can be detected, but also the difference in color of the body to be detected can be detected.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the increase in temperature of a photoelectric circuit, by attaching a photoelectric conversion circuit to a substrate for electric circuits through a heat radiating plate, which is provided as a lining material, and attaching the substrate for the electric circuit to a motor enclosing part through a heat shielding material. CONSTITUTION:A photoelectric conversion circuit element 1 is mounted on a substrate 4 for electric circuits through an aluminum plate having good heat conductivity and a heat radiating material 3 such as heat dissipating grease. Said substrate 4 for the electric circuits is separated from a motor enclosing part 7 by a heat shielding material 5. The heat generated by the motor is not transmitted to the photoelectric conversion circuit. Meanwhile heat generated by the photoelectric conversion circuit is quickly converted to the lined heat radiating material 3, and heat radiation is accomplished quickly.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for provision of a phase difference of 180 deg. to an optical signal by deciding a threshold value at an amplifier having a feedback diode and an automatic threshold value set circuit so as to compare the optical signal with the value in detecting the optical signal. CONSTITUTION:A photodetector 1 converts the optical signal into an electric signal, which is inputted to an amplifier 2. Moreover, the input range of the amplifier 2 is expanded by the feedback diode 3. Then the automatic threshold value set circuit 4 holds a peak voltage of an output of the amplifier 2 and outputs a value being a half the held peak voltage so as to use it as a threshold value of a comparator 5. The comparator 5 has a hysteresis characteristic and converts stably the input into a pulse voltage. Thus, it is not required to provide a 180 deg. phase difference to an encoder circuit and it is not necessary to provide two fixed slits and two photodetectors are not required and only one photodetector is enough for the purpose.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To use a circuit as it is independently of change of the number of cells when the number of cells of storage batteries is changed, by fixing the number of cells, which monitor a voltage, to a minimum number. CONSTITUTION:A terminal 2 provided on the way of storage batteries connected in series is inputted to a Schmitt trigger circuit 4 through the connection point between resistances R1 and R2 to compare the voltage of the battery having a minimum number of cells with the output voltage of a constant voltage circuit 1. When the voltage of the battery is reduced and the voltage of the terminal 2 becomes lower than the output voltage of the constant voltage circuit and becomes lower than the lower voltage of the Schmitt circuit 4, the circuit is inverted, and a driving circuit 3 is operated, and a light emitting diode LED is lit. If the upper trigger voltage is set to a value sufficiently higher than the voltage of the battery, the storage function is given because the light emitting diode LED which is lit once is lit continuously even after restoration of the voltage of the battery.
