Abstract: Provided herein is a method of purifying a recycled or renewable organic material (10), wherein the recycled or renewable organic material (10) comprises more than 1 ppm silicon as silicon compounds and/or more than 10 ppm phosphorous as phosphorous compounds, comprising the steps of (a) providing a feed of the lipid material; (b) optionally pre heat treating 20) the recycled or renewable organic material (10) at 180 to 325°C and optionally adding acid before or after the heat treatment process and optionally filtering the pre heat treated recycled or renewable organic material; (c) heat treating (40) the recycled or renewable organic material (10) in the presence of an adsorbent at 180 to 325°C and filtering (50) the heat treated recycled or renewable organic material, and optionally adding acid before or after the heat treatment process; (d) optionally blending the heat treated recycled or renewable organic material with a hydrocarbon or lipid-based stream; (e) optionally evaporating (30) the volatile silicon compounds from the heat treated recycled or renewable organic material; and (f) hydrotreating (60) the lipid material in a presence of a hydrotreating catalyst; to obtain purified hydrotreated recycled or renewable organic material (61) comprising less than 20%, preferably less than 10%, more preferably less than 5%, of the original silicon content of the recycled or renewable organic material provided in step (a) and/or less than 30% of the original phosphorous content of the recycled or renewable organic material provided in step (a).

Abstract: Procedimiento de producción de una composición de hidrocarburo, que comprende las etapas de - proporcionar una materia prima de biomasa; - gasificar la materia prima mediante gasificación soplada con oxígeno para producir un gas de síntesis crudo que contenga monóxido de carbono, dióxido de carbono, hidrógeno, hidrocarburos e impurezas gaseosas y en forma de partículas, teniendo dicho gas de síntesis crudo una relación de hidrógeno a monóxido de carbono de aproximadamente 0,5 a 1,7; - eliminar al menos una parte esencial de las impurezas para producir un gas de síntesis limpio; - alimentar el gas de síntesis limpio a un reactor Fischer-Tropsch; - convertir en el reactor Fischer-Tropsch al menos una parte significativa del monóxido de carbono y el hidrógeno contenido en el gas de síntesis en una composición de hidrocarburos que contenga hidrocarburos de C4-C90; - recuperar del reactor Fischer-Tropsch una composición de hidrocarburos que contiene principalmente hidrocarburos que son sólidos o semisólidos a temperatura y presión ambiente; en el que la relación de hidrógeno a monóxido de carbono del gas de síntesis se eleva a aproximadamente 2,0 a más tardar cuando el gas de síntesis se alimenta al reactor Fischer-Tropsch, caracterizado por la combinación de - recuperar por separado del reactor Fischer-Tropsch un gas de descarga que comprende hidrocarburos que son gaseosos a temperatura y presión ambiente; - producir hidrógeno a partir de los hidrocarburos gaseosos de dicho gas de descarga sometiendo dichos hidrocarburos a al menos una reacción de reformado y al menos a una reacción de desplazamiento de gas de agua, llevándose a cabo dichas reacciones en una cascada en el orden indicado; y - alimentar al menos una parte del gas de hidrógeno producido a partir del gas de descarga reciclado en el gas de síntesis limpio para aumentar la relación de hidrógeno a monóxido de carbono de dicho gas de síntesis limpio.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for producing ketones, suitable for manufacture of base oil or diesel fuel components, from a feedstock of biological origin comprising fatty acids and/or fatty acid derivatives, and being at least partly in liquid form, by subjecting the feedstock to a catalytic ketonisation reaction, wherein the ketonisation reaction is carried out in a system comprising one or more ketonisation reactor(s) (A', B') each comprising at least one ketonisation catalyst bed (G'), further comprising that• the feedstock (1') is introduced into a ketonisation reactor together with a carrier gas stream comprising CO(5');• gas comprising CO(8', 10') is separated from the effluent (2', 4') exiting a ketonisation reactor whereby the effluent comprising ketones is used either as a feedstock (2') for a further ketonisation reactor or for recovery (4') of ketones from the effluent; and• the separated gas comprising CO(8', 10') is recycled and used in the carrier gas stream in a ketonisation reactor (A', B').The invention further relates to a system for producing ketones in one or more ketonisation reactor and the use of a gas comprising COand produced in the ketonisation reactors as a carrier gas.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of hydrotreatment of biological oil, in particular to methods for producing renewable base oil and a diesel oil from low-value biological oils. It was found that low-value biological oils containing free fatty acids and fatty acid esters can be processed into a renewable base oil and a renewable diesel oil in an efficient manner by first separating at least part of the saturated free fatty acids from the feedstock and then processing separately this saturated free acid feed in a ketonisation reaction followed by hydrodeoxygenation and hydroisomerisation reactions to yield a renewable base oil stream. The remaining free fatty acid depleted feed may be processed in a separate hydrodeoxygenation and hydroisomerisation step to yield a renewable diesel stream. Splitting the feedstock into two separate streams, where one is a saturated free fatty acid stream provides surprising advantages compared to a combined treatment of the entire feedstock.
