    Abstract: A liquid dispensing module includes a dispenser body assembly, a flexible seal, a needle, and an actuator. The dispenser body assembly includes a liquid inlet, a discharge outlet, and a flow channel including a valve seat between the inlet and outlet. The flexible seal engages the dispenser body assembly and includes a downstream end. The needle includes an enlarged portion engaging and retaining the downstream end of the flexible seal to place the flexible seal in lengthwise compression between the enlarged portion and the dispenser body assembly. The needle also includes a valve element that moves between open and closed positions. The flexible seal prevents liquid from leaking out of the flow channel.

    Abstract: A system for dispensing liquid material with different configurations of air assisted fiberization or filament movement (e.g., meltblowing, controlled fiberization). In particular, front access for mounting a selected nozzle (132a) only requires adjustment of one lever (142) and one fastener (124). Features of the lever (142) and nozzle allow assisted ejection of the nozzle, even when the nozzle has become adhered to a die body through use. In addition, a nozzle mounting surface (176) of the die body provides a universal interface to the various types of nozzles. An air cavity in the die body and air troughs (182) in selected types of nozzles balance and adjust air flow.

    Abstract: A device for dispensing a heated liquid, such as a hot melt adhesive, which includes a dispenser body (12) adapted to dispense the heated liquid, a solenoid valve (16), and a pneumatic section (18) including a housing (20) coupled between the solenoid valve (16) and dispenser body (12). The pneumatic housing (20) is formed from a thermally insulating material which may include a thermoplastic polymer such as polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) or a fluoroplastic polymer to reduce heat transfer from the dispenser body (12) through the pneumatic housing (20) thereby thermally insulating the solenoid valve (16).
