    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an endoscope which is capable of detecting a gravitational direction easily at the distal end portion of an insertion portion.
    SOLUTION: The endoscope apparatus 1 is constituted to insert a probe 21 from an insertion opening 18 of an endo-therapy accessory of an endoscope operational portion 12 and to protrude the distal end side of the probe 21 from a channel opening 19a of an insertion channel 19 of an endo-therapy accessory so that a balloon 22 provided on the distal end side is disposed in a range of an observation field of the endoscope 2. The balloon 22 is made of a transparent member or a translucent member, and a fluid 23 distinguished from an internal organ such as the inside of a bronchus by coloring the fluid in blue or green is sealed. The fluid 23 in the balloon 22 moves inside the balloon 22 in accordance with the inclination of the distal end portion 14 of the insertion portion, and a fluid level 23a is varied depending on the gravitational direction. The vertically downward direction of the fluid level 23a represents the gravitational direction, and the gravitational direction is indicated visually.
