PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical storage medium which effectively prevents illegal use of the optical storage medium causing infringement of copyright, without deteriorating a function which reproduces physical format information and optical storage medium manufacture information.SOLUTION: An optical storage medium comprises: a main information area 41b to which encrypted data information is recorded as a pit sequence which can be read out through light; and a control data area 41a. In addition, key information for decoding encryption of the data information, physical format information and optical storage medium manufacture information are recorded in the control data area 41a by wobbling grooves.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device which can simplify various setting operations in a display device such as a TV which provides information associated with an article (communication device).SOLUTION: An imaging device 1 has an RF-ID 47 which performs a proximity radio communication with an RF-ID reader/writer 46 connected to a TV 45 by an infrared communication path. The imaging device 1 includes: a proximity radio communication antenna 21; a data reception unit 105 which receives an input signal supplied from the reader/writer 46; a nonvolatile second memory 52 which stores a UID unit 75 as identification information for identifying at least the communication device and an operation program 116 executed by the TV 45 by referencing the UID unit 75; and a data transfer unit 108 which transmits the UID unit 75 and the operation program 116 to the reader/writer 46 via the antenna 21 in accordance with the input signal. The transmitted UID unit 75 and the operation program 116 are transferred to the TV 45 via the reader/writer 46.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record sub-information without increasing the cost required for manufacturing a disk and degrading the reading accuracy of main information, and to reproduce the sub-information by reliable and stable reading.SOLUTION: An optical disk reproducing device includes: a predetermined area-specifying circuit which specifies a position of a predetermined area, where a postscript mark is recorded at least in a part; a pit and/or land length-detecting circuit which detects each length of a plurality of pits and/or lands contained in a predetermined area; and a predetermined length-discriminating circuit which discriminates that each detected pit and/or land length is equal to or more than the predetermined length. The center part of a pit and/or a land which are discriminated to be equal to or more than the predetermined length is taken as a detecting section of second information and the second information is reproduced from a reproduction signal of the second information detection section.

SOLUTION: An imaging device 102 includes an imaging unit 114 which captures digital images; a communication unit 112 which acquires a plurality of additional information from a predetermined map server 120 holding a plurality of additional information, corresponding to respective objects contained in the digital image captured by the imaging means; a display information extracting unit 113, which selects additional information to be displayed from among the plurality of additional information acquired by the communication unit 112; and a duplicate display processing unit 116 and a display unit 117, which display the digital image captured by the imaging means, together with the additional information selected by the display information extracting unit 113 from among the plurality of additional information.
