Abstract: The device includes two pressure rollers (24,25) mounted on their respective levers (20,21) and brought to bear upon two parallel shafts (36,37), for driving the tape in the forward and backward directions. The magnetic head is fitted to a carrier (2) which moves it into different positions with respect to the path of the tape. An adjustment lever (5), which is rotatable and/or slidable on the head carrier, is coupled to both of the roller levers and moves them into their alternative positions when the tape is reversed. The position of both levers is determined by that of the adjustment lever, in both directions.

El mecanismo de excitacion actua sobre una palanca (5) de actuacion sostenida de manera movil durante el movimiento de pivote entre las posiciones de operacion y se proporciona la palanca (44) del pivote que sostiene a una rueda (50) de pivote, y la palanca (44) de pivote está acoplada a una rueda (41) intermedia, particularmente por medio de un acoplamiento (45) de friccion. Dicha rueda intermedia se engrana con la rueda (50) de pivote. Para permitir la conmutacion con una potencia alta en una distancia angular mayor, la palanca (5) de actuacion tiene dientes (11) que se engranan con la rueda (50) de pivote montada sobre la palanca (44) de pivote del mecanismo pivotable de excitacion.
