    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the quality deterioration of the recorded sound signal and to deliver the video and sound signals, by drawing a reproduced sound signal out of a demodulating part when the output of the 1st reproducing head part is higher than a prescribed level and drawing a sound signal out of the 2nd head part when the output of the 1st reproducing head is less than the prescribed level. CONSTITUTION:The rotary reproducing magnetic heads 31 and 32 scan alternately the inclined tracks which are adjacent to a video sound signal reproducer. The fixed reproducing magnetic heads 61 and 62 scan consecutively the sound tracks formed on a magnetic tape. The outputs of the heads 31 and 32 are applied to one side of each of switching circuits 59 and 60 via FM demodulators 44-47 and a switching circuit 56, etc. While the outputs of the heads 61 and 62 are applied to the other side of the circuits 59 and 60 respectively via level controllers 69 and 70, etc. Then the outputs of the heads 31 and 32 are detected by level detecting circuits 71 and 72. When these outputs are higher than a prescribed level, the outputs of the heads 31 and 32 are drawn out through the circuits 59 and 60. While the outputs of the heads 61 and 62 are drawn out when the above-mentioned outputs are less than a prescribed level. Thus the quality of the sound signal is improved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To ensure the discrimination among stereophonic, double sound and monaural modes in a reproduction time, by inserting a pilot signal of an optional frequency at the outside of an audible band selectively in response to at least stereophonic, double sound and monaural modes of an audio signal. CONSTITUTION:A signal P sent from a pilot signal oscillator 32 of 25kHz is supplied to a switch circuit 33 and switched among contacts of modes of stereophony S, double sound B and monaural M to be supplied in common to adder circuits 13L and 13R through diodes 34L and 34R, respectively. At the same time, the signal supplied from the contact B is fed to the circuit 13L. The pilot signal P is selectively superposed on the spectrum of an audio signal which undergoes FM modulation in the stereophonic, double sound and monaural modes at the outside of audible bands (0-20kHz), i.e., 25kHz and in response to the stereophonic and double sound modes. When control signals SB of double sounds are detected in a reproduction time, just one of these two signals is extracted at the output side. Furthermore, a signal obtained by adding both signals is extracted at the output side when a signal SM is detected.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a fluctuation of the tape transport extent caused by a change of speed of slow motion reproduction, by controlling the level or width of the intermittent transport driving pulse in accordance with the intermittent period of a tape. CONSTITUTION:The slow motion reproducing speed with which the intermittent normal transport due to a capstan equivalent to a pitch of the control signal corresponding to a frame of pause of a magnetic tape within a prescribed frame period number is repeated varies in accordance with the number of selection frame periods in a stop mode. In case the speed of reproduction is varied, a slow-speed monostable multivibrator 6 is controlled via a transistor 20, a capacitor 18 and others with control of a variable resistance 21 of a correcting circuit 17. Then the width and others are controlled for the driving pulse delivered from a forward-turn monostable multivibrator 7, and thus a correction is given to the fluctuation of the starting state due to the residuel energy according to the slow reproduction speed of the intermittent drive of a capstan produced by a step motor 1 or the like. In the same way, a fluctuation can be prevented for the tape intermittent transport extent caused by a change of speed of slow motion reproduction also at the brake side.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify greatly the control of a compensation circuit, by performing a still reproduction with use of a pair of rotary heads which is provided at a position away from an angulr distance of 180 deg. by a specific angular distance. CONSTITUTION:An azimuth slant recording is carried out to reproduce a recording medium containing a recording pattern in which a shift of 0.75H (H: distance equivalent to a horizontal period on track) is caused. In this case, rotary heads 1A and 2A distributed with a shift of angle of 0.25H' (H': angle equivalent to a horizontal period) to an angular distance of 180 deg. are used. Thus a jumping compensation is possible in a still reproduction mode of a record pattern to which no H arrangement is given and by producing alternately a state with an intervention of a delay circuit of 0.5Th (Th: a horizontal period) and a state with no intervention at a compensation circuit. In the case of a record pattern having no H arrangement, a state with an intervention of a delay circuit of 0.25Th and a state with no intervention are produced alternately. In such way, the control of a compensation circuit is greatly simplified.

On the other hand, outputs of limiting circuits 422, 424 are FM-demodulated and a signal as shown in the figure F is fetched. Subsequently, these signals are switched by switching circuits 74L, 74R as shown in the figure G and a signal containing no noise is outputted as shown in the figure H. In this way, a sound signal is demodulated. Also, in this case, a noise component contained in a demodulating signal is replaced with other demodulating signal and is eliminated.

When the stereo signal SS is detected by a switch matrix circuit 50, signals from deemphasis circuts 49L and 49R are taken out as they are. When the double sound signal SB is detected, only one of them is taken out; and when signals SS and SB are not detected, two signals are added, and the result is taken out to the output side. In this simple constitution, respective sound modes are distinguished from one another at the reproducing time.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To select and offer an optimum reproducing method, by detecting whether sounds are recorded in the tape running direction onto a magnetic tape or not and whether frequency-modulated sounds are recorded together with a video signal on a video track or not. CONSTITUTION:A tape detecting circuit 20 discriminates the normal system, where sounds are recorded in the tape running direction, or the system where sounds have the frequency modulated and are recorded on the video track provided obliquely to the tape running direction. In case of the normal system, the signal from a video head is reproduced as it is. In case of the latter system, the signal from the video head is reproduced through a filter 71 where FM modulation components are removed from the video signal. The FM modulation signal is selected by filters 51-54 and is supplied to a demodulating circuit.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reproduce an audio signal having high quality, no impulsive noise and excellent fidelity by demodulating FM-modulated reproduction outputs obtained from two reproducing rotary magnetic heads alternately into reproduced audio signals to concatenat the signals. CONSTITUTION:Reproducing magnetic heads 31 and 32 scan on slanting adjacent tracks t1 and t2 of a magnetic tape T alternately accompanied with overlap time. The head 31 generates the reproduction output of the 1st mixture output M1, and the head 32 generates the reproduction output of the 2nd mixture output M2. Those outputs are supplied to a video signal processing part 35 through amplifiers 33 and 34. At the same time, those outputs are supplied to FM demodulators 44-47 through band-pass filters 36-39 and amplitude limiting circuits 40-43, so that a reproduced left signal SL and a right signal SR are obtained alternately accompanied with a overlapping. The signals are passed through low-pass filters 48-51 to concatenate within the overlap time by switching circuits 53 and 54. Consequently, no impulsive noise is generated.
