Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens which has desired optical properties to a high degree of precision without being influenced by a material shrinkage or a variation of the index of refraction which are the uncertainty factors of the lens. SOLUTION: A reference mold as a reference in the molding of the lens is prepared and the reference lens molded by the reference mold is evaluated from the optical point of view and at the same time, the configuration of the molding surface of the reference mold is measured. Further, the reference imaginary lens is optically evaluated by optical simulation, assuming it to be the reference imaginary lens having a lens surface of the same shape as the molding surface of the reference mold. Next, a mold for a tentative mass production-type mold of almost the same configuration as that of the reference mold is prepared and the configuration of the molding surface of the tentative mass production- type mold is measured. In addition, the tentative mass production-type imaginary lens is optically evaluated by optical simulation, assuming it to be the tentative mass production-type imaginary lens. Thus the designing and preparation of the tentative mass production-type mold is repeated until the lens falls within the tolerance limits of the essential optical evaluation.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a prescribed design pattern even on a substrate material containing a ferromagnetic element by correcting the design pattern based on the variation data with respect to the design pattern and calculating the corrected pattern, and then, plotting the pattern on a substrate in accordance with the corrected pattern. SOLUTION: A satisfiable relational expression between a working pattern and a design pattern is decided by calculating the variation data (direction and size) with respect to each point on the design pattern corresponding to each intersection of the working pattern by capturing the set of points on the working pattern as the function of the set of points on the design pattern and measuring the coordinates of the points on each intersection of the working pattern (T1-T3). Then the inverse function of the relational expression (function) is deduced (T4) and correction data (corrected pattern) which are the set of points expressed as inverse functions with respect to each point on the design pattern are prepared (T5). Successively, a pattern is plotted in accordance with the corrected pattern (T6).

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the abrasion of a cutting tool such as a diamond cutting tool by feeding an oil mist to the machined face of a noble metal via inert gas serving as a pressure medium. SOLUTION: A groove 3 of the prescribed diffraction optical pattern is cut on the face of a noble metal thin film 2 formed by sputtering at the center recess of the molding die 1 of a glass reheat press formed into a hologram lens shape by a diamond cutting tool 4 while an oil mist 6 is fed from a nozzle 5. Nitrogen is preferably used for the inert gas as the pressure medium of the oil mist 6, and argon, helium, neon or klypton, for example, can be used as far as it is the inert gas. When the inert gas is used, the oxidation, carbonization and abrasion of the diamond cutting tool 4 can be prevented. At least one kind selected from a group of third-class petroleums having the viscosity nearly equal to that of kelosene oil, for example, is used for the material of the oil mist.
