SOLUTION: A magnetic core 63 is provided with a coil 64 wound thereon, a magnetic field production part 61 produces a magnetic field to be applied to a magnetooptic disk 5, and a slider 62 in which the magnetic field production part 61 is installed comes into slide contact with the magnetooptic disk, and a head part 55 which applies the magnetic field produced by the magnetic field production part 61 to the magnetooptic disk 5, and the head part 55 is embedded integrally in the slider 62. Therefore, the head part 55 is excellent in the conduction heat radiation.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To absorb the effect caused by the secular change of optical parts, by setting the recording laser power so a specific physical data region length in the test pattern recorded on a recording medium becomes appropriate. SOLUTION: After initialization, a prescribed number of laser pulses are outputted, the output of the laser pulses is continuously stopped and the above operations are repeated for a prescribed time. During the pulse outputted period of the laser beams, the modulation magnetic field having the reverse polarity with respect to the modulation magnetic field given during the initialization is applied. Then, the physical recording condition, in which the region of recording pits consisting of the polarity during the initialization are continued and the continuous region having reverse polarity recording pits are alternatively repeated, is repeated for a prescribed time. Then, the test pattern is reproduced and the recording laser power, in which the pit recording region reproducing time corresponding to the recording pit size is obtained to expect a beforehand set optimum recording/reproducing operations or the pit non-recorded region reproducing time is obtained, is set as an optimum recording laser power.

CONSTITUTION:In a state where the radial direction of a magneto-optical disk 101 is a border line B1 and made eccentric so that a dimension to the other side surface 6b is longer than a dimension L, from the border line B1 to one side surface 6a, a slider 6 is attached to the tip of a flecture 5. A magnetic field generating section 7 for impressing an external magnetic field to the magneto-optical disk 101 is provided on the slider 6 by being moved in the radial direction thereof. The slider 6 is attached to the flecture 5 so that when the magnetic field generating. section 7 is moved to a swollen section 106 on the outer periphery of the magneto-optical disk 101, the other side surface 6b is moved away from the swollen section 106, the one side surface 6a is brought to the vicinity of the swollen section 106 and a specified inclined angle theta2 is provided on the front and rear surfaces 6c and 6d of a carriage moving direction in a direction orthogonal thereto.

A magnetic field generating part 7 for moving in the radial direction of the magneto- optical disk 101 and impressing an external magnetic field upon the magneto- optical disk 101 is provided on the slider 6. A front surface 6c of the slider 6, opposite to an outer circumferential annular bulged out part 106 of the magneto-optical disk 101 in the slider moving direction is formed in a circular- arcuate surface with a center of the rotation of the magneto-optical disk 101. The circular-arcuate surface is formed to have a smaller radius of curvature R2 than a curvature radius R1 of the annular bulged out part 106.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To accurately adjust the position of an optical head and that of a magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive part 71 consisting of a photodiode is divided into four parts by an insensitive part 72. Thereby, a light receiving layer 61 can be formed. Also, MR sensors 81, 82 are arranged at a magnetosensitive layer 62 so that-they are perpendicularly intersected with each other. The light receiving layer 61 is joined with the magnetosensitive layer 62 so as to conform a point L crossing with the insensitive part 72 to a point M crossing with the MR sensors 81, 82. Adjustment is performed so as to conform the point M crossing with the MR sensors 81, 82 to the center of the magnetic head, and also, the position of the magnetic head is adjusted so as to conform the point M crossing with the MR sensors 81, 82 to the center of the magnetic field of the magnetic head.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To form the magnetic disk cartridge which can rotate at a high speed by constituting the cartridge attachably and detachably to and from a driver and aligning the center of an magnetic disk and the axial center of a spindle motor with high accuracy. CONSTITUTION:The spindle motor 12 is mounted in approximately the central part at the base in the flat cartridge 10 having a square or rectangular shape and the magnetic disk 11 is mounted on a revolving shaft 14 of this motor 12. A mounting part 30 mounted integrally with the revolving shaft 14 is screwed and fixed by a lock screw 31 to the central part of the magnetic disk 11 in such a manner that the center of the revolving shaft 14 and the center of tracks align to each other in such a case. The circumference of the rotor area on the inner side of the recording area of the magnetic disk 11 is provided thereon with a rotor disposed with plural sets of paired magnets of N and S. This rotor revolves the spindle motor 12 cooperatively with the stator inserted through the stator insertion window on the (back surface of the cartridge 10 from the outside.

The optical gap sensor 13 detects the gap between the magneto-optical disk 1 and the magnetic head 12. The distance between the magneto-optical disk 1 and the magnetic head 12 is maintained constant in accordance with the output of the optical gap sensor 13.
