Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a response characteristics when a level of an input audio signal changes from a large one to a small one. SOLUTION: The processing unit is provided with a gain control amplifier 52 that receives an input audio signal and a level detection circuit 61 that detects a level of the input audio signal, and also a control signal generating circuit 63 that generates a control signal of a gain of the gain control amplifier 52 according to a detection signal of the level detection circuit 61. The gain control amplifier 52 has an input output characteristics where the received input audio signal is compressed to a level and the compressed signal is outputted. A response time of the gain control amplifier 52 whose gain changes from a small one to a large on by decreasing a large level of the input audio signal into a smaller level is changed depending on setting contents of level compression and a history of a level change in the input audio signal.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily usable voice processor. SOLUTION: This processor is provided with a level conversion circuit for level-converting and outputting input voice signals and a setting means for setting the input/output characteristics of the level conversion circuit to a standard state, a first state and a second state. The input/output characteristics of the level conversion circuit are turned to the linear characteristics 90 at a prescribed gain at the time of being set to the standard state, turned to the characteristics 91 and 92 for the gain larger than the prescribed gain, in which gain becomes larger as an input level is lowered at the time of being set to the first state and turned to the characteristics 93 and 94 for the gain smaller than the prescribed gain, in which gain decreases as the input level is increased at the time of being set to the second state.

SOLUTION: A device is provided with an amplitude change circuit 65 that changes an amplitude of a consonant component of a received voice signal, a start point detection circuit 73 that detects a start point of a voiced sound of the voice signal, an end point detection circuit 73 that detects the end point of the voiced sound of the voice signal, and a control circuit 74 that controls the gain of the amplitude change circuit 65 according to outputs of the start point detection circuit 73 and the end point detection circuit 73. When the start point detection circuit 73 detects a start point, the control circuit 74 applies a control signal to decrease the gain to the amplitude change circuit 65 and when the end point detection circuit 73 detects an end point, the control circuit 74 applies a control signal to restore the gain to the amplitude change circuit 65.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspecting device for hearing aid capable of certainly and truly knowing the characteristic of a hearing aid and of securing inspector's safety. SOLUTION: A sound collecting part 10, a signal processing circuit 20 and an earphone part 30 are provided. The sound collecting part 10 is composed of an acoustic tube 11 for acoustically simulating plane wave propagation of sound wave in his/her external auditory meatus and a microphone unit 15 for collecting the sound wave in the acoustic tube 11 and outputting a speech signal. The signal processing circuit 20 is provided with a simulator circuit 23 for converting the voice signal into a signal having a characteristic corresponding to user's hearing characteristic of the hearing aid, and limiters 26 and 28 for limiting the maximum level of the speech signal. The earphone part 30 is composed of an earphone unit 35 for converting the speech signal from the signal processing circuit 20 into a sound wave and another acoustic tube 31 for plane- wave-propagating the converted sound wave into the inspector's external auditory meatus.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a speech processing device by which immediacy can be secured and a listenable voice can be outputted. CONSTITUTION: An amplitude suppressing circuit is arranged to a speech signal. Amplitude suppressing operation anticipates a part being punctuation of a collective speech part (a continuous voice) on the speech signal, and suppresses amplitude according to it. When a start part of the continuous speech is discriminated, the suppression of amplitude is released. Therefore, the amplitude is suppressed in a punctuation part of the collective speech part without impairing immediacy, and articulation to recognize all collective speech parts can be improved.

Concerning such a filtering device, the difference of the input signal is detected by a difference detection circuit 2, the coefficients of the respective coefficients multipliers 12a-12n+1 are set based on this detected difference, and the setting of coefficients based on this difference is performed by using linearly approximated functions.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable the time resolution of an auditory system for perceiving the pauses between sounds to be readily examined in a short CONSTITUTION:During the period in which noise is generated by a noise source 4, signals indicating detection of a predetermined frequency band wherein a silent period DELTAt is provided are successively generated, while maskers lower in level than the detection signals and having a frequency band except that of the detection signals are successively generated from a noise source 3. The signals and the maskers are mixed together at an audio signal control portion 7 and given to a testee as examining sounds via an earphone 9. The pauses between the successive sounds are gradually narrowed to determine the time resolution of the testee by detecting at which level the testee becomes unable to perceive the pauses.
