Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent air from being entrained through a liquid ejection nozzle by reducing liquid suction pressure in a liquid circulation conduit when liquid is circulated between a liquid ejection head and a liquid tank by generating a negative pressure in the liquid ejection head.
SOLUTION: Ink 8 being fed from a plurality of ink ejection nozzles 27 formed in the nozzle surface 10 to a liquid chamber 9 in a print head 2 for ejecting ink is stored in an ink tank 3. Ink 8 is fed from the ink tank 3 through an ink supply conduit 4 to the print head 2 thence returned from the print head 2 through an ink circulation conduit 5 back to the ink tank 3. A negative pressure is generated in the print head 2 by driving a liquid feed pump 6 arranged on the ink circulation conduit 5 and ink is circulated between the print head 2 and the ink tank 3. Ink suction pressure in the ink circulation conduit 5 is reduced at a pressure regulating section 26 arranged on the ink circulation conduit 5 between the liquid feed pump 6 and the print head 2.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the developing speed, to eliminate the need for squeezing work and to make high-speed developing compatible with developing where the halftone density is uniform. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a developer housing part 55 housing liquid developer 1 obtained by dispersing charge toner grains 5A consisting of at least coloring agent and resin in electric insulating liquid, a supply roller 54 uniformly attaching the developer 1 to the surface of a developing roller 51 from the housing part 55 and an electric field impressing roller 53 forming a liquid toner layer 6 in which the grains 5B are aggregated by impressing an electric field on the developer 1 attached to the surface of the roller 51. The roller 51 is provided with an electrical conductive elastic layer. Then, the developing action is executed by making the roller 51 holding the layer 6 in which the grains 5B are aggregated press-contact with a drum-like photoreceptor 7 on which an electrostatic latent image is formed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance printing accuracy and elongate the service life of a thermal head by a method wherein a supporting member, to the basic end side of which a supporting part is provided and to the following end side of which a cleaning pad for cleaning the surface of ink ribbon is arranged, is provided. CONSTITUTION:A pad mounting plate 10, on which a cleaning pad 2 is installed, is arranged to one edge side of the outer periphery of the thermal head inserting port 119 of the ink ribbon cartridge casing 9a. Thus, simultaneously with the inserting movement of a thermal head 3 in the ink ribbon cartridge casing 9a, the cleaning pad 2 is turned about the supporting part 10a of the pad mounting plate 10 so as to be displaced in the ink ribbon cartridge 9a, resulting in realizing the constitution in order to clean ink ribbon 5 just before its contact with the thermal head 3. As a result, the ink ribbon 5 is brought into contact with the thermal head 3 under the condition that the dust and the like adhered to the surface of the ribbon is removed. Accordingly, the enhancement of printing accuracy and the longer service life of the thermal head 3 result.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a change in liquid properties by preventing electrolysis of the liquid. SOLUTION: The device comprises a liquid detection circuit 20 and a judgement means 31. The liquid detection circuit 20 comprises an electrode part 26 (26a-26e), impedance 22 and an alternating current signal source 21. The electrode part 26 is disposed so as to contact a liquid inside the containers T1 and T2. The liquid detection circuit 20 outputs a signal indicating an energizing state of the electrode part 26 by inputting an alternating current signal which does not contain direct current components by way of the impedance 22 from the AC signal source 21 and a binary signal to indicate whether the electrode part 26 is energized or not, based on the output signal. The judgment means 31 determines as to the presence or absence of the liquid in the electrode part 26 from the binary signal output from the liquid detection circuit 20. The frequency of the alternating current signal is a frequency which produces an impedance at least three orders smaller than the impedance in the case where an alternating current signal at 100 Hz is input to the electrode part.
