    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a cost from increasing while keeping a high resolution by newly and independently providing a high-resolution liquid crystal panel for brightness component light. CONSTITUTION:The liquid crystal panel 4 where a brightness signal is supplied is provided separately from the liquid crystal panels 6-8 where a chrominance signal is supplied, and the outputted light beam from the liquid crystal panels 6-8 where the chrominance signal is supplied and the outputted light beam from the liquid crystal panel 4 where the brightness signal is supplied are synthesized. That is, light from a light source 1 is separated into S wave light having the component of a primary color and P wave light having only the component of the brightness. Then, the S wave is supplied to the liquid crystal panels 6-8 driven by the chrominance signal, and P wave is supplied to the liquid crystal panel 4 driven by the brightness signal. And the outputted light beams from the both panels 4 and 6-8 are synthesized and projected to reproduce a color image. In such a case, even though the resolution of the liquid crystal panels 6-8 driven by the chrominance signal is low, the resolution of the liquid crystal panel 4 driven by the brightness signal is high, the color image having the high resolution can be obtained. Thus, only one liquid crystal panel having the high resolution is enough so that the cost is prevented from increasing.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce buzz and buzz beat in an output of a sound circuit, by detecting amplitude components of an output signal of a phase comparator and eliminating steady-state phase error of a phase locked loop with the detection signal. CONSTITUTION:An output signal of a phase comparator 17 is applied to an amplifier 18, and the output signal of the amplifier 18 is applied to a positive signal detector 19 and a negative signal detector 20. Detected output signals of the detectors 19, 20 are applied to an adder 21, a signal summing the both is applied to the adder 21 to produce the signal of sum of the both and this summed signal is applied to a synthesizer 22, where the output signal of the adder 21 and the output signal from a phase comparator 17a are synthesized and applied to a DC amplifier 17b of a phase locked loop 17 with signal correction.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve condensing efficiency by improving a structure of a light source device such as a metal halide lamp. SOLUTION: A light source device is composed of a metal halide lamp 2 of a short arc, a lamp reflector 3 to turn the light into a parallel light flux by condensing it, a support cylinder part 4 and an electromagnet 5 arranged in an upper part of a back face part of the lamp reflector. When a line A of magnetic force horizontally orthogonal to the optical axis generated by the electromagnet 5 is impressed on a tubular bulb 6, a discharge arc is corrected in a straight line shape. Since a polarity reversing means is provided on the electromagnet 5, even in a condition where the light source device is inversely erected by 180 degrees, uniform brightness similar to normally erected time can be attained by switching the magnetic field direction to a line B of magnetic force from the line A of magnetic force.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To miniaturize a liquid crystal projector and elongate its life by providing plural liquid crystal light bulbs for reproducing a primary color picture with a primary color projecting light source, respectively, and forming the primary color projecting light source with a fluorescent light emission tube. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal projector 11 is constructed by arranging a primary color projecting light source made of a fluorescent light emission tube, namely, a red projection light source 13R, a blue projection light source 13B and a green projection light source 13G for a liquid crystal light bulb 12R for red, a liquid crystal light bulb 12B for blue and a liquid crystal light bulb 12G for green, respectively, so that the liquid crystal light bulbs 12R, 12B and 12G will be correspondingly irradiated with the primary colors of the respective light sources 13R, 13B and 13G. In this way, by arranging the primary color projecting light sources 13R, 13B and 13G made of the fluorescent light emission tubes for respective liquid crystal light bulbs 12R, 12B and 12G in place of a white light source and a spectroscopic optical system, the optical system can be simplified. Thus, the miniaturization of the liquid crystal projector 11 can be promoted and said projector 11 can be offered at a low price.
