Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the shaking of a disk tray in a draw-out position. SOLUTION: This disk drive assembly has the disk tray 4 which is disposed movably between a draw-out position where the disk is drawn out of a device body 26 and the retraction position where the disk is retreated in a main body. The loading and taking out of a disk-like recording medium 18 are carried out in the draw-out position. The assembly is so formed that the disk-like recording medium is subjected to recording and/or reproduction in the state that the disk tray is loaded with the disk-like recording medium and exists in the retraction position. Spring pieces 10 and 10 disposed at the rear end of the disk tray in the state that the disk tray exists in the draw-out position come into elastic contact with a disk retaining guide 17b disposed at the device body, by which the shaking of the disk in the draw-out position is eliminated.

SOLUTION: The driving circuit for a disk drive unit 21, the driving circuit for a memory card drive unit 42 and the control circuit for exchanging data between an optical disk 2 and a memory card 3 by mutually controlling these two driving circuits 21 and 42 are mounted on a single circuit board 51. Furthermore, this device is provided with an exhaustion mechanism 81 for discharging dust which is sucked from a memory card slot 41 into a main body 11 of the drive device together with external air to the outside of the main body 11 of the drive device without allowing the dust flow into the disk drive unit 21.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a low-torque motor to be adopted as a loading motor by temporarily applying a voltage higher than a normal voltage to the loading motor only during a certain period of time immediately after the start of unloading and thereafter applying the normal voltage until the completion of the unloading. SOLUTION: When an unloading completion detecting switch 26 and a loading completion detecting switch 27 that are tray sensors S1 and S2, respectively, are both in the ON state, a command signal for driving a loading motor 83 to rotate in a reverse direction with a large voltage is output from a CPU 122 to an M-con 123, so that the loading motor 83 is driven to rotate in the reverse direction with a large voltage of 4.5 V which is obtained by adding 2.5 V to a normal voltage of 2.0 V. When the loading completion detecting switch 27 is switched from the ON state to the OFF state, a signal for switching the voltage to be applied to the loading motor 83 from the large voltage to the normal voltage is output, so that the applied voltage is changed to the 2.0 V and the reverse rotations continue while.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the entering of dust and to reduce the trouble at the time of recording and reproducing caused by dust, by providing a wall section in the front part of a disk tray. SOLUTION: A disk is mounted on a tray 5 and the tray 5 is loaded into the disk drive device. In the front section of the top surface side of the tray 5, a wall section 15 is provided over the entire width of the tray 5 so as to prevent the entering of dust into a drive main body 1. The section 15 is provided with the projecting height which is slightly lower than an appearance plate 9. Then, a projecting section 17 is provided in a stepwise manner in the back of an entering/ejecting port section 4 so that the section 17 is facing against the top end plate of the section 15 with a small gap. A groove 16 is formed with a prescribed width between the plate 9 and the section 15. Thus, if a tray 5 is stored, the section 4 is doubly closed by the plate 9 and the section 15, dust entering over the plate 9 is caught by the groove 16 and the main body is surely protected against the intrusion of dust.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure compatibility and high reliability for information signal recording/reproducing and to reduce costs by providing an optical pickup means for performing information signal recording/reproducing for a plurality of disk recording media. SOLUTION: A recording/reproducing device 1 is provided with a fist pickup 3 for reproducing the information signal of DVD recording and a second optical pickup 4 for reproducing the information signal of CD or CD-ROM recording or recording/reproducing information signals in a CD-R. A loaded disk 2 is detected by a specification detector, and according to its output signal, a device 3 or 4 is driven and a recording information signal is reproduced from the disk 2. Here, since the devices 3 and 4 are connected to each other by a connecting member 27 and driven integrally by a pickup driving mechanism 22, the number of part items is reduced and costs are reduced. Also, since the driving of the mechanism 22 is transmitted to the device 3 heavier than the device 4, the devices 3 and 4 are highly accurately moved and the reliability of recording/reproducing is improved.

CONSTITUTION: A shutter spring 8 in which the ends of arms 12 and 13 having equal lengths of one and the other ends of a coil 11 are formed at the elliptical pin engaging part 14 and a pinlike fixed end 15 is used. A pin 16 provided at the lower half of a cassette housing 5 is inserted to the part 14 to movably retain the end of the arm 12 at the lower half, and the fixed end 15 of the arm 13 is fixed to the shutter 7. Accordingly, when the shutter 7 which is set to the closed position of the head inserting hole 4 at the normal time by the energization of the spring 8 is pressed in the opening direction of the hole 4, the arm 12 is elongated in the direction B to be moved. Thus, the defect due to the approaching of the side 5a and the groove 20 of the housing 5 to the spring 8 can be prevented.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To smoothen the movement of a shutter release pin at the time of cassette ejecting operation by making an inclined part wider in the manner of chamfering the end part side of the inclined part guiding the shutter release pin when the cassette is ejected. CONSTITUTION: At the time of cassette ejecting operation, a stroke between the shutter release pin 44 and a movement guide pin 46 is constant in the course when the shutter release pin 44 is moved on the linear part 43b of a cam hole 43. So, the movement of the pin 46 in an oblong hole 45a of a moving plate 45 is unrequired, and the pin 44 is smoothly moved. The pin 46 comes up to the start point of the guide hole 47, then the pin 44 is moved on the inclined part 43a without performing the stroke control of the plate 45 due to the movement of the pin 46 in the oblong hole 45a of the plate 45, since the inclined part 43a is wide in the course when the pin 44 is moved on the inclined part 43a. Therefore, the pin 44 is smoothly moved succeeding to the movement on the linear part 43b. Consequently, the pin 44 is surely returned to the position of the start point even though the spring force of an extension coil spring 50 is not so strong.
