Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the rectangularity of pattern shapes by treating a resist layer with an aq. alkaline soln. to form a hardly soluble layer, then subjecting the layer to pattern exposing and developing. CONSTITUTION:The photoresist layer 12 consisting of an alkaline soluble resin (A) and a photosensitive agent (B) is formed on an Si substrate 11 and the layer 12 is treated with the aq. soln. of the alkali (e.g.: tetramethyl ammonium hydroxide) to form the hardly soluble layer 13. The layer 12 including the layer 13 is then subjected to pattern exposing and developing to form the resist patterns. A novolak resin, etc., contg. Si atoms in the main chain are usable as the component A and a quinone diazide compd., etc., are usable as the component B. A cellosolve compd., etc., are usable as the solvent for these components.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover a substrate surely for recycling by separating a reflecting film from the substrate by being irradiated with ultrasonic waves in a medium and immersing the substrate in a liquid for dissolving a coloring matter layer. SOLUTION: Disks 1 are set on a cleaning jig 91. Next, a moving table 81 is brought down by a cylinder 82, and each disk 1 is immersed completely in water 11. A control part actuates a ultrasonic wave generator 22, and the UV resin top coat layer and gold reflecting layer of the disk 1 are peeled off from a coloring matter recording layer and a polycarbonate substrate. In this operation, the disks 1 are moved vertically and rotated in water 11 in washing to prevent the generation of nonuniformity. Next, the coloring matter recording layer stuck to on the substrate is immersed in a solvent for dissolving the coloring matter to remove it. When the solvent is irradiated with ultrasonic waves, by treating the disks 1 in the water in an ultrasonic cleaning tank 21, a reflecting film and a coloring matter layer are removed simultaneously from the substrate, enabling sure recovery of the substrate for recycling.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily separate and recover substrate resins and reflection film metals from optical disks in the form of laminating dyestuff layers, metallic reflection films and protective films on substrates. SOLUTION: The optical disks are brought into contact with an org. solvent which dissolves the dyestuff layers and does not dissolve the substrate resins to dissolve the dyestuff layers, by which the optical disks are separated to the substrates and the protective films with the reflection films. In an embodiment, the CDs-R of the structure obtd. by laminating the dyestuff layers 12, the reflection films 13 of gold and the protective films 14 of a UV curing resin on the polycarbonate substrates 11 are cut to a size of about 2cm square and the cut pieces are immersed in ethanol which is stirred for 30 minutes. Consequently, the dyestuffs are dissolved in the solvent and the cut pieces are separated to the substrate resins and the protective films adhered with the gold films (reflection films). The substrate resins are taken out of the solvent, by which the resins are recovered. The solvent is filtered to separate the protective films adhered with the gold films. The protective films are dried in the amt. The protective films adhered with the gold films after the drying are heat treated for 2 hours at 1,200 deg.C in an electric furnace, by which the gold for the reflection films is recovered.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover a recyclable dye and/or binder resin from sublimation thermal transrer recording ink ribbon waste. SOLUTION: The binder resin and/or dye of an ink layer in a recovered ink ribbon 1 is dissolved in a solvent to obtain a soln. from which insolubles are then removed. The resulting soln. is conc., and the concentrate is then put into a specific solvent to precipitate the binder resin for recovery thereof while recovering the dye from the supernatant liq. Alternatively, the dye may be extracted with a solvent capable of dissolving substantially only the dye from the ink layer to recover it, or the dye may be sublimated from the ink layer to recover it. Herein, use is made of an ink recovery apparatus comprising an ink ribbon conveyor means, an ink recovery head for recovering the dye and the binder resin with a solvent, a liq. tank 12 for contg. the solvent, and a solvent circulating means for feeding the solvent from the liq. tank 12 to the ink recovery head and circulating the solvent contg. the dye and/or binder resin dissolved in the ink recovery head to the lig. tank.

The contact of the rubbing material 2 with the substrate 5 is uniformized in this way and the unequal orientation is eliminated.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to efficiently classify an ink ribbon by color and separate it by cutting by winding up the ink ribbon with different types of dye arranged in the longitudinal direction in such a way that the dye areas of the same type are stacked together and cutting the ink ribbon at a border area between the adjacent dye areas of different types. SOLUTION: When an ink ribbon 10 consists of ink layers of three different colors 11-13 such as yellow (Y), magenta (M) and cyan (C), the ink ribbon 10 is wound by the length corresponding to the unit cycles (a) of Y, M and C. Y in a second cycle is stacked over the Y in a first cycle, and further, the Y in an n+1 cycle is stacked over the Y in an n cycle. That is, when the ink ribbon 10 is capable of printing 100 pages, the Y's covering 100 pages are mutually stacked. The same is true about the M and the C. The ink ribbon has only to be cut at the border area between the different colors after being simply taken up, by previously adjusting the take-up side to the lengths corresponding to the unit cycles (a) of the Y, M and C. Thus it is possible to separate the colors into three different types at a high speed.
