A user gives, as input, two curves at a start time and at an end time and reference correspondence points with respect to the respective curves. Then, a pursuit operation of pursuing a reference correspondence point is carried out with respect to picture images successive in the time axis direction. As a result, positions of reference correspondence points at respective intermediate stages can be determined. Then, interpolation of the shape is carried out. Then, the determined interpolated shape is deformed in correspondence with the determined reference correspondence point. Accordingly, even in the case where a contour shape does not linearly move, it is possible to precisely pursue correspondence points on the contour. Thus, a contour shape with higher precision can be prepared.

A data communication system and method are disclosed which provide for the secure transmission of video data among devices connected to a video data bus. The video data is transmitted with address information corresponding to a particular device or, alternatively, video data is encrypted and transmitted on the data bus without address information.
Abstract:
An information storage device includes a sequential access storage medium and a randomly accessed storage medium. Data from the sequential access medium is loaded to the randomly accessed medium. When an external device accesses the information storage device, data is, in fact, accessed from the randomly accessed storage medium, even though, as seen from the perspective of the external device, the selected data is apparently accessed directly from the sequential access storage medium.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a displaying method that can display an original power-saving effect, obtained when monitoring display of a power-saving effect is not performed, during the monitoring display of the power-saving effect. SOLUTION: The displaying method includes: picking up an image before an image display surface that a display device displaying an image has and detecting presence of a moving body positioned before the image display surface; determining a power-saving amount of the display device including a power-saving amount of the image display surface using an analysis result of whether the picked-up image includes the face of a person and a detection result of the moving body; and deriving the actual power-saving amount in the absence of the display on the image display surface and displaying it as a power-saving amount on the image display surface when displaying information associated with the power-saving amount on the image display surface. Consequently, during the monitoring display of the power-saving effect, the original power-saving effect when the monitoring display of the power-saving effect is not performed can be displayed. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain excellent image data without stripes even when still image data are generated by extracting frame data of moving image data having a motion. SOLUTION: At first an image file is displayed on a display section, an area for field interpolation processing is designated and an item for interlace processing is selected among menu items (S001-S003). When the mode is not a coefficient setting mode, values set in advance to a control section are used for coefficients K1, K2 to detect a motion and field interpolation processing is executed to picture elements whose motion is detected to interpolate the motion picture elements (S005-S006). When an image file (processing result) displayed on a display section is observed and the user discriminates that an excellent image is obtained, the image file is written and stored in a recording medium (S009-S008). Furthermore, in the case of the 'coefficient setting mode', the step is progressed to S010 and the coefficients K1, K2 corresponding to the image file are set to conduct motion detection and field interpolation processing (S010-S012, S006-S007).
