Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanning device capable of adjusting a position of a scanning line with high accuracy while applying triangular and/or trapezoidal spur gear and crown gear which have simple teeth shapes.SOLUTION: When a pinion gear 125 rotates once, a crown gear 123 rotates by one tooth, a screw 122 moves only by 9.6 μm in a sub-scanning direction X, one end 109a of a second fθ lens 109 moves only by 9.6 μm in the sub-scanning direction X, and accordingly a movement distance of a main scanning line on a photosensitive drum 13 corresponding to one rotation of the pinion gear 125 is 9.6 μm or less. Therefore, even when there exists backlash between the pinion gear 125 and the crown gear 123, a position of the main scanning line can be adjusted and set with such a high accuracy as to be 10.5 μm (dot half) or less.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which a printing quality is improved by suppressing the vibration of a mirror mounted on a light scanning unit. SOLUTION: In an exposure unit 10 including: a laser scanning unit 11 for emitting a multiple number of beams; a polygon mirror 12 for deflecting the multiple beams by reflection with the same face; an optical system for radiating the beams correspondingly to a multiple number of photoreceptor drums 21 laid out along an auxiliary scan direction, the bottom 10b of a casing 10a of the exposure unit 10 to which the polygon mirror 12 and the optical elements arranged along the directions of the beams emitted from the polygon mirror 12 are attached is constructed so that the attachment portions of individual optical elements for each beam are differentiated in thickness from the areas where no attachment portion is formed. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a pointing device with excellent operational feeling. SOLUTION: The device comprises a sensor (101) for acquiring image information; and an image generating part (102) for reducing spatial resolution in an image based on the image information, which is acquired by the sensor, at every prescribed time period and generating comparison images with gradation resolution raised therein. A correlative value is calculated, which indicates correlation between a prescribed area in the first comparison image and a prescribed area in the second comparison image which is generated after the first comparison image, among the plurality of comparison images which are generated by the image generating part. In this case, an upper face of each part of the auxiliary delivery member 10 and one face of paper sheet S supplied to the delivery point P or an end part on the downstream side in the direction of paper feeding (direction of blank arrow mark) cause friction. Then the sheet 51 held on the second discharge tray 12 is pushed out in the discharging direction by a sheet discharge arm 14 in rotation and dropped onto the first discharge tray 11. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the precision of position control of a carriage without being influenced by an external force such as a driving force from a motor for moving the carriage at the time of position control of the carriage, by using a timing fence for expanding/contracting a range parallel to a movement direction of the carriage in accordance with the expansion/contraction of right and left enclosure parts for the position control of the carriage. SOLUTION: Each end of the timing fence 43 having a continuous pattern is fixed to one end of an elastic member 48 set at each of the right and left enclosure parts 2 and 3. The timing fence 43 is constructed with the use of rollers 49 and 50 supported by roller supporting parts 51 and 52 arranged at the right and left enclosure parts 2 and 3, respectively. At the time of expansion of the right and left enclosure parts 2 and 3, an elastic force acts on the elastic members 48 in an arrow Y direction as a main scanning direction and expand in the arrow Y direction. SOLUTION: This paper discharge device is provided with a paper discharge port 15 for discharging a paper sheet P after image formation, a final paper discharge part 5 disposed on the downstream side thereof, a paper sheet intermediate transfer means 1 disposed in the intermediate position between the above discharge port and discharge part and having circulating paper transfer plates 1a to 1d for placing the paper sheet P thereon and transferring the same, and a driving part 2 for driving the paper sheet intermediate transfer means 1 to circulate between the discharge port 15 and the final paper discharge part 5 in synchronization with the timing of discharging the paper sheet P discharged from the discharge port 15.
