    Abstract: A vehicle has a cockpit area and lateral passages for the ingress and egress of a rider to and from the cockpit area. At least one lateral flexible cover selectively extends at least partially across at least one of the lateral passages. The cover has at least one upper attachment point connected to the roll cage, at least one lower attachment point connected to one of the frame and the roll cage, and a forward attachment point selectively connected to one of the frame and the roll cage. When the forward attachment point is connected to the one of the frame and the roll cage, the at least one lateral flexible cover extends forwardly and downwardly from the at least one upper attachment point to the forward attachment point, and forwardly and upwardly from the at least one lower attachment point to the forward attachment point.

    Abstract: An off-road vehicle is disclosed having a frame (32), at least four wheels (36, 38) suspended from the frame (32), a left seat (40B), a right seat (40A), an engine (48) mounted to a middle portion (62) of the frame (32), and a console (70) mounted on the middle portion of the frame (62) laterally between the left seat (40B) and the right seat (40B). The console (70) covers the upper portion of the engine (48) and defines a central cooling tunnel (88) extending forwardly and rearwardly of the engine (48) which tunnels air flow around the engine (48) for cooling the later. The off-road vehicle also features a passageway in front of the central cooling tunnel, and a fan aligned with the passageway to increase air flow through the central cooling tunnel (70) when required.

    Abstract: A cowling for an outboard marine engine includes an upper motor cover and a lower motor cover that cover an engine, and a gear case that houses a drive mechanism. The upper motor cover detachably mates with the lower motor cover along corresponding edges. At least one mating edge on one side of each cover has a non-linear profile for assisting with cover alignment during assembly. The lower motor cover is configured to be assembled to one of a plurality of upper motor covers depending on engine size, and each upper motor cover is configured to be assembled to one of a plurality of top caps depending on whether the engine uses an electric starter or a pull starter.
