Abstract: PURPOSE:To fix the output voltage of a DC-DC converter and, at the same time, to highly accurately control the converter by providing the first and second pulse width modulator circuits which supply prescribed pulses to switch elements synchronously to a frequency signal. CONSTITUTION:The first pulse width modulator circuit 421 supplies a first pulse having a prescribed duty ratio corresponding to an input voltage to a second or first switch element 13 or 11 synchronously with a frequency signal. The second pulse width modulator circuit 422 supplies a second pulse having a duty ratio which fixes an output voltage to the first or second switch element 11 or 13 synchronously with the frequency signal. Accordingly, the operation mode which is decided by the duty ratios of both switch elements 11 and 13 can be arbitrarily set by arbitrarily setting the duty ratios of the first and second pulses in a synchronized state. Therefore, the output voltage of this DC-DC converter can be fixed and, at the same time, the converter can be controlled highly accurately by taking the condition of the input voltage into account.
