Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing 1-pentene by which the reactional selectivity can be improved and the 1-pentene can efficiently be produced by using a catalyst having a high activity even at low temperatures. CONSTITUTION: This method for producing 1-pentene is to bring a catalyst prepared by supporting an alkali metal on a compression molded granular carrier comprising an anhydrous potassium compound and carbon into contact with propylene at 130-170 deg.C temperature under >=20kg/cm G pressure and then carry out the codimerization, in the method for producing the 1-pentene by codimerizing ethylene with propylene in the presence of the catalyst.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To selectively separate >=1 kind of org. compd. by permeation by bringing a liq. mixture of org. compds. into direct contact with one side of a heat-resistant asymmetric separation membrane made of a soluble aromatic polyimide having a repeating unit shown by a specified formula. CONSTITUTION:The asymmetric separation membrane is formed with a soluble aromatic polyimide having >=40mol% repeating unit shown by formula I (where A is a bivalent residue obtained by removing two amino groups from an aromatic diamine compd.). A liq. mixture of org. compds. is supplied to a module contg. the membrane and brought into direct contact with the supply side of the membrane. The permeation side of the membrane is depressurized, as required, and >=1 kind of org. compd. is selectively permeated through the membrane, vaporized and separated. The unpermeated soln. of org. compds. is drawn off from the supply side and the permeated vapor from the permeation side and recovered.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To permeate >=1 kind of component in a liq. mixture through the asymmetric membrane to separate the component by bringing the liq. mixture of org. compds. into direct contact with one side of the membrane formed with an aromatic polyimide having a repeating unit shown by a specified general formula. CONSTITUTION:The asymmetric separation membrane is formed with an aromatic polyimide having >=40mol% repeating unit shown by formula I between formulae I and II (where A and B are a bivalent aromatic residue obtained by removing an amine group from an aromatic diamine) and the balance repeating unit shown by the formula II. A liq. mixture of org. compds. is supplied to a module contg. the separation membrane and brought into contact with the supply side of the membrane. The permeation side of the membrane is depressurized, as required, and >=1 kind of org. compd. is selectively permeated through the membrane, vaporized and separated. Separation by pervaporization is stably carried out in this way.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To efficiently separate an objective org. substance by bringing an org. substance mixed liquid into contact with the single surface of a separation membrane composed of soluble aromatic polyimide obtained from a specific aromatic tetracarboxylic acid component and a specific diamine component. CONSTITUTION:Soluble aromatic polyimide is synthesized from an aromatic tetracarboxylic acid component containing 70mol% or more of biphenyl tetracarboxylic acids and an aromatic diamine component having 2-3 benzene rings containing 15-50mol% of an aromatic diamine compound having one aromatic ring. A heat-resistant asymmetric separation membrane is formed using said soluble aromatic polyimide and an org. compound mixed liquid is directly brought into contact with the single surface of said separation membrane. At least one kind of the org. compound in the org. compound mixed liquid permeates and transmits through the separation membrane and is subsequently separated as vapor.

SOLUTION: The method for separating cis-dicyclohexyl-3,3',4,4'- tetracarboxylic acid dimethylester, comprising recrystallizing a product obtained by hydrogen-reducing tetramethyl biphenyl-3,3',4,4'-tetracarboxylate to preferentially separate an isomer having a cis structure, hydrolyzing three kinds of isomer mixtures obtained, thereby converting these into the corresponding tetracarboxylic acids, then rendering the tetracarboxylic acids anhydrous to produce tetracarboxylic acid dianhydrides having a cis structure, reacting this isomer mixture with methanol to convert it into tetracarboxylic acid dimethylester and thereby preferentially separating only (1R, 1'S, 3R, 3'S, 4S, 4'R)-dicyclohexyl-3, 3',4, 4'-tetracarboxylic acid dimethylester at this semiester stage.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To efficiently and selectively separate an org. compound for a long period of time by directly bringing an org. compound mixed liquid into contact with the single surface of an asymmetric separation membrane composed of specific soluble aromatic polyimide to allow the org. compound to permeate and transmit through said membrane. CONSTITUTION:In a pervaporization method using an asymmetric separation membrane, the asymmetric separation membrane composed of soluble aromatic polyimide prepared from a specific aromatic tetracarboxylic acid component and an aromatic diamine component being a specific diamine compound is obtained. An org. compound mixed liquid is directly brought into contact with the single surface of said asymmetric separation membrane. Whereupon, at least one kind of the org. compound in the org. compound mixed liquid selectively permeates and transmits through the asymmetric separation membrane to be separated as vapor. By this method, the org. compound is separated efficiently and selectively by the pervaporization method and pervaporization can be industrially carried out for a long period of time.
