Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a toner by aggregation and integration without using a surfactant. SOLUTION: Latex consisting of sulfonated polyester and olefin resin is formed in water and a pigment mixture is formed by dispersing a pigment in water. The latex is mixed with the pigment mixture under shear, an alkali (II) halide is added to the resultant mixture and they are stirred and heated so as to integrate the latex with the pigment mixture. Filtration and drying are then carried out to produce a toner compsn. or toner particles.
