Abstract:
A device for forming at least part of a head part (1) of a liquid treatment apparatus is arranged to receive a connecting head (9) of a replaceable liquid treatment cartridge (2) and includes at least one ratio-setting valve. The ratio-setting valve is provided with at least two first ports (62-65), each placeable in essentially sealed liquid communication with respective cartridge ports (11-14) of a connecting head (9) of a replaceable liquid treatment cartridge (2) inserted into the device, and with at least one second port (99,111). The ratio-setting valve includes at least one movable regulating part (91,107) for setting a volumetric flow rate ratio between a first flow of liquid between a first of the first ports (62-65) and the at least one second port (99,111) and a second flow of liquid between a second of the first ports (62-65) and the at least one second port (99,111) at any of a plurality of values. The ratio-setting valve is placeable in a closed configuration, in which the at least one movable regulating parts (91,107) are positioned such that both the first and the second flows are blocked. The ratio-setting valve is placeable in the closed configuration independently of whether a connecting head (9) is inserted with its cartridge ports (11-14) in liquid communication with the first ports (62-65).
Abstract:
Disclosed is a water treatment apparatus comprising a plurality of water treatment portions, wherein a part of inflow water passes through the plurality of water treatment portions in order, the remainder passes through only a part of the plurality of water treatment portions, and the water is discharged together outside. The water treatment apparatus according to one embodiment of the present invention can comprise: a head (200) comprising an inlet portion (211) through which water flows in, an outlet portion (212) through which water is discharged outside, and a connection portion (213) connected to the inlet portion (211) and the outlet portion (212); and a water treatment unit (300) which is connected to the connection portion (213) and comprises a plurality of water treatment portions (321, 322), and is coupled to the head (200) such that a part of the water flowing into the inlet portion (211) passes through the plurality of water treatment portions (321, 322) in order, the rest passes through only a part of the plurality of water treatment portions (321, 322), and the water flows together to the outlet portion (212).
Abstract:
A magnetic separator (10) for a central heating system comprises a housing (12), a separation chamber within the housing (12), inlet and outlet ports (20, 20a) extending from the housing, the inlet and outlet ports including push- fit connectors (30) having collets surrounding the mouth of each of the inlet and outlet for releasing the connectors (30), and a release tool (44), the release tool (44) having first and second bearing areas (46, 48) for bearing against the collets of the inlet and outlet connectors (30), and a handle region (50, 52) for enabling force to be applied, via the bearing areas (46,48), to both connectors (30) simultaneously.
Abstract:
The filter head having a filter head main body includes: an inflow passage communicating with an inflow portion; an outflow passage communicating with an outflow portion; a filter introduction hole communicating with the inflow passage, to which an introduction portion of a filter is connected when the filter is mounted; a filter discharge hole communicating with the outflow passage, to which a discharge portion of the filter is connected when the filter is mounted; and a bypass flow channel connecting the inflow passage and the outflow passage and allowing the remaining flow of the fluid introduced through the inflow portion to pass therethrough so as to be expelled together with the fluid which has passed through the filter, through the outflow portion.
Abstract:
A filter head (1) for fitting to a water filter (20) is provided. The filter head (1) has a filter connector (5) for enabling the filter head (1) to be connected to the filter (20). A water inlet (10) allows water to enter the filter head (1) from an external water supply. A water inlet passage (11) passes water entering the water inlet (10) to the filter (20) connected in use to the filter connector (5). A first water outlet (15) allows water that has passed through the filter (20) to exit the filter head (1) through the first water outlet (15). A second water outlet (16) allows water that has passed through the filter (20) to exit the filter head (1) through the second water outlet (16).
Abstract:
A water filtration system that includes a filter manifold having a rotatable cover is provided. A filter cartridge is provided that includes a sump having a filter head integrally secured to a first end and cap releasably secured to a second end. A locking mechanism extending from the cover locks into the filter manifold to position the cartridge in an “in-use” state. The filter cartridge further includes two offset cylindrical inlet and outlet members protruding from the filter head that are designed to engage corresponding inlet and outlets of the filter manifold through a horizontal engagement mechanism. A check valve is positioned within the filter manifold adjacent the inlet of the filter cartridge to control fluid flow through the water filtration system. The filter cartridge head includes fins upwardly extending therefrom that are configured to engage corresponding slots formed in a plurality of corrugated channels of the filter manifold.
Abstract:
A filter unit and a method of repeatedly indicating to a user of an appliance that a water filter unit operably connected to the appliance has passed its useful life and a filter unit configure for use in connection with the method where the filter unit includes a fluid flow impeding system within a housing of the filter unit; engaging the filter unit with the appliance; measuring the volume of water treated by the filter unit; activating a fluid flow impeding system contained within the housing of the filter unit; and repeatedly indicating to a user that the maximum volume of water the filter unit has been designed to treat has been surpassed and the filter unit should be replaced by repeatedly delivering a normal flow rate of water from the dispenser of the appliance and thereafter slowing the flow of water from the dispenser of the appliance.
