Abstract:
The invention refers to a filter (23, 24) a cartridge (9) containing a particulate material (20), a use of the filter and a system for preparing a liquid solution. The cartridge (9) includes an inner space (10) for housing the particulate material (20), an inlet (21) arranged to permit the introduction of a liquid into the inner space, and an outlet (22) arranged to permit discharge of liquid from the inner space. The filter (23) is arranged at the outlet (22) to permit passage of the liquid in a filter direction (x) through the filter but to prevent passage of the particulate material through the filter. The filter includes at least one slit-shaped opening, which has a first extension and a second extension being substantially perpendicular to the filter direction (x). The second extension is significantly shorter than the first extension.
Abstract:
A filter device includes a filter housing (10), a filter inlet (12), a filter outlet (14), and a filter element (16). The filter element divides a filter area (18) into two partial areas (20, 22). One partial filter areas is conical in form with the cross-section of that partial area (20) being tapered from the filter inlet (12) to the filter outlet (14). The partial areas are separated from each other by the filter element. This arrangement results in an optimum residence time distribution inside the filter device at a uniform flow rate, which is particularly useful for highly viscous fluids such as polymer melts or similar.
Abstract:
Improved flow-through device for treating a fluid, which flow-through device (1) mainly consists of a housing in the shape of a pot (2) with a lid (3) which is provided with an inlet (4) and an outlet (5) for the fluid and an exchangeable tubular flow-through element (6) provided in the housing which is provided with a medium (7) for treating the fluid, whereby this element (6) fits against the lid (3) and forms a separation between the space (12) on the inside of the element (6) which is connected to the inlet (4) and the space (16) on the outside of the element (6) which is connected to the outlet (5), characterised in that in the space (12), on the inside of the element (6) opposite the inlet (4), is provided a tube (20) forming an extension of the inlet, which tube mainly extends in the axial direction (X-X') of the element (6) and which is provided with lateral passages (21) f or evenly distributing the fluid to be treated over the length o f the f low-through element (6), whereby this tube has a narrowing cross section lengthwise in the axial direction of the f low o f the fluid through the tube (20). ® KIPO & WIPO 2009
