Abstract:
The invention relates to an applicator for applying a photocurable composite material over a large surface of a component, having a reservoir for the composite material and at least one lamp for curing the photocurable composite material, and according to the invention - the reservoir comprises at least one discharge region for the photocurable material, through which the photocurable material can be supplied to an applicator elements; - the applicator element is opaque to the light emitted by the lamp; - the photocurable material can be applied to the surface or spread on the surface of the component by contact of the applicator element with the surface. The invention further relates to an applicator element for an applicator, having at least one lamp and designed like a nozzle, the applicator element applying the photocurable material to the surface and/or spreading the photocurable material on the surface of the component by contact with the surface.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Apparatuses and methods for applying a coating to an ear of corn are disclosed. An enclosure (12) having a user accessible workspace (14) and a motor (18) to turn an ear of corn (44) therein to apply a coating to the ear of corn (44) rotated by the motor (18) is also disclosed. The method includes providing an enclosure (12) with a user accessible workspace (14) for housing a motor assembly (16) having a motor (18) with a grip (20), releasably securing the ear of corn (44) to the grip (20), rotating the ear of corn (44) with the motor (18), and spraying the coating on the ear of corn (44) with the coating applicator (26) associated with the workspace (14). Each ear of corn (44) has an identifier (40) to track and index the ear corn (44) during coating and drying.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for coating the outer surface of a workpiece (W) comprises disposing a workpiece (W) in a fixed position along an axis and rotating a thermal spray gun (7) around the axis on a support (5) with a thermal spray (S) thereof directed towards the axis. The powder, fuel and oxygen are rotatably coupled to the gun (7) and the thermal spray gun (7) and the support (5) are moved along the axis while rotating.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for forming a flow of fluid into a spray of fine particle size, notably one with a mass median particle size less than 12 micrometres, which method is characterised in that the flow is caused to adopt an annular flow through a duct and in that the velocity gradient within that flow is sufficient to cause shear between components of the flow to break the flow up into a spray, preferably without the need to use a fine nozzle aperture to atomise the flow.
Abstract:
A sealer gun that discharges a liquid material of a coating agent/a filler from a nozzle on its tip is securely prevented from producing dripping that arises as a liquid material drips from the tip of the nozzle and remains when a discharge of the liquid material is stopped. A pump that includes a cylinder and a piston fitting in the cylinder capable to move in and out freely is assembled onto a discharge cylinder of the sealer gun, an operation rod interlocked with the piston of the pump and a grip member are interlocked via an interlock mechanism so as to perform pump operation of suction-discharge by moving in and out the piston caused by pivoting motion of the grip member, and a suction-discharge aperture of the pump is positioned in an internal space of the nozzle, and it is configured such that when a discharge of a liquid material is stopped by releasing the grip member, a negative or positive pressure is introduced into the nozzle owing to pump operation caused by resilient pivoting of the grip member.
