Abstract: A reinforcement rope to be used in production of reinforced concrete constructions consists of an internal wire (1) and external wires (2) coiled thereupon and forming at least one external layer. Abstract: A steel cord (10) adapted for the reinforcement of rubber products, the steel cord comprises a core (12) and a layer of filaments (14) with round cross-sections twisted around the core (12). The core (12) comprises a flat wire at a waveform, which lies in the plane of the flat wire. The wire is obtainable by first crimping a round wire and thereafter flattening the crimped wire. The filaments of the layer do not substantially contact each other to make spaces between each other to insure adequate rubber penetration into the cords. The steel cord has improvements on elongation at break.

Abstract: A steel cord used for reinforcing rubber product with an oval cross-section has a structure of m+n, while m is the number of core wires (26) and n is the number of the outer layer wires (22). The core wire (26) is untwisted while m is 1 or the core wires (26) are untwisted and aligned in parallel while m is between 2 and 4, and the outer layer wires (22) are twisted around said core wires (26). The core wires (26) are oval wires and the outer layer wires (22) are round wires. The wires (22, 26) in the steel cord have a carbon content not less than 0.60%.
