Abstract:
A yarn object which, even though made of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene, can be satisfactorily prevented from color fading caused by contact with other objects or the like, can be produced easily at low cast, and can maintain high strength. The yarn object is colored with a colorant. The yarn object includes a core yarn 2 colored with a predetermined colorant and an outer-layer yarn 3 disposed on the periphery of the core yarn. The outer-layer yarn 3 is disposed in such a manner that the core yarn 2 is prevented from contacting with other objects. The outer-layer yarn 3 includes a transparent filament and a space 4 is formed between the outer-layer yarns 3. The color applied to the core yarn 2 is externally visible through the transparent outer-layer yarn 3 and the space therebetween 4.

Abstract:
A roundsling with a fully inspectable core. The roundsling comprises synthetic, non-metallic core yarns contained in a tubular cover that is transparent. Because the cover is transparent, the load-bearing core fibers are entirely, frequently and directly visible before, during and after use.

Abstract:
A wire rope has an independent wire rope core including lubricated individual core wires that are encapsulated in a tubular sheath of elastomeric or polymeric material surrounding the core wires and retaining the lubricant. A plurality of strands are located radially outwardly from and adjacent to the core. Each of the strands include strand wires that are lubricated. The strand wires are encapsulated in a tubular sheath of elastomeric or polymeric material that retain the lubrication for the strand wires. The core and strand encapsulating materials prevent direct metal-to-metal contact between core wires and strand wires, and between strand wires of adjacent strands. The core and strand encapsulating materials are applied in a manner so as to avoid loss of lubricant. Retaining lubrication and preventing direct metal-to-metal contact significantly improves the useful life of the wire rope.
Abstract:
A rope (16) for a winch assembly of a crawler vehicle, in particular a snow groomer, the rope having a substantially circular cross-section and comprising a core (43), a plurality of strands (44) arranged around the core (43), and a sheath (45), which is arranged around the strands (44) and is made of a polymer material for sealing and protecting the strands (44) from the outside.

Abstract:
A cable protective tube for storing a cable and filling mortar therein, comprising a protective tube 1 having smooth inner and outer surfaces formed of iomonomer resin with excellent transparency and a spiral or net-like reinforcement material 2 for reinforcing the protective tube, wherein the reinforcement material 2 may be buried in the protective tube 1, and the protective tube 1 may be a spiral corrugated pipe but a smooth tube, whereby a high transparency can be provided to the protection tube, the filled state of mortar therein can be visually observed from the outside, and a high pressure resistance can be provided to the protective tube.
Abstract:
A cable or rope (1) comprising a cable or rope structure (4) and a sheath (2), the sheath (2) comprising at least one translucent or transparent section (3) and at least one section which is opaque. Thereby the cable or rope (1) is provided with weather protection or an aesthetic finish, whilst still allowing inspection of the cable structure or rope structure (4) in situ. A method of manufacturing the cable or rope (1) and a method of inspecting a cable structure of rope structure (4) is disclosed, too.
Abstract:
Rope of a hoisting apparatus, more particularly of a passenger elevator, which comprises a plurality of parts (T1, T2), which continue unbroken for essentially the whole length of the rope, which parts are preferably load-bearing parts. At least one (T2) of the aforementioned parts (T1, T2) is arranged to be essentially more susceptible to breakage in relation to the number of bends than the other (T1) aforementioned parts.
