Abstract:
Abstract:
An artificial stone is disclosed for use in creating a covering for a supporting surface. The artificial stone includes a body for placement on the supporting surface, which is shaped for mating engagement with like stones with intermediate perimeter joints to produce a continuous surface covering. The stone has a facing surface on the body, which facing surface has a contour defining a surface area and is subdivided by at least one simulated joint into a major surface portion and at least one minor surface portion. The major surface portion is free of simulated joints and extends over at least about 60% of the total surface of the facing surface. The stone further includes at least one perimeter recess in the body for generating a gap between the stone and another like stone in mating engagement therewith, which gap is wider than adjacent the adjoining perimeter joint. Stones of this construction can easily be arranged in a regular, repeated pattern to generate a continuous covering for the supporting surface with the surface of the resulting covering having an irregular, natural appearance. The irregular top contours of the stones, the uneven division of the facing surface and the perimeter recesses and the resulting gaps between mating stones simulate the appearance of a natural stone surface covering for walkways, roadways, pavements or walls.
Abstract:
A block suitable for use in an arrangement of blocks that are interlocked. The block may comprise : a first side surface extending between a first edge and a second edge, the first side surface being irregular and having a first half and a second half that are congruent; a second side surface extending between the second edge and a third edge, the second side surface having a first half and a second half that are congruent; a third side surface extending between the first edge and a fourth edge, the third side surface being congruent with a first portion of the first side surface; a fourth side surface extending between the third edge and a fifth edge, the fourth side surface being congruent with a second portion of the first side surface such that the first portion and the second portion of the first side surface constitute the first side surface; and a fifth side surface extending between the fourth edge and the fifth edge, the fifth side surface having a first half and a second half that are congruent. The arrangement of blocks may be part of a paved surface, a wall or another structure, or may be used in various other applications.
Abstract:
Abstract:
It includes a surface grading step of performing a grading work for a road surface to be constructed with the log blocks; a main plate installing step of successively laying out, in length and width, main plates having a plurality of half-plate nearby wood seats provided on the neighborhood of a central wood seat, from a base line of a finished surface, by groups of hard resin material main plates contacted mutually, so that the nearby wood seats are combined to construct a circular type near wood seat; a log block inserting step of insertion-installing a central wood as a unit of a block changed from a log into the central wood seat and a nearby wood as a unit of a block changed from a log into the nearby wood seat; a log block binding step of binding inner side nearby woods provided at a spot where four main plates meet by a shape(ï POUND ) with one another by using a soft resin material inner binding instrument, and binding an outer side nearby wood provided at a spot where two main plates meet and an inner side nearby wood provided between them by using a soft resin material outer binding instrument; and a molding step of performing a molding between the central wood and the nearby wood so as to be provided as a usage of a parking lot, a footpath or a garden as a space for a turf-planting.
Abstract:
In floor coverings of composite tiles, especially of recycled synthetic material, with a polygonal ground plan, the possibility of obtaining the desired elastic properties while economising on material is provided. In the recess (4) forming a hollow space in each component (2) there is a cylindrical support (9) moulded on the underside of the tile covering (5), the lower edge (10) of which is preferably in a plane with the lower edges (7) of the composite tile. To stabilise the walls of each component (2), the supporting component (9) is connected to the vertical edges (12) of the components (2) via diagonal ribs (11), preferably extending to the lower edge of the tile covering. Together with laying plates (20) which comprise securing means (22) designed to co-operate with the supports (9) of the composite tiles, the latter form a laying system which permits the laying of the composite tiles even on difficult substrates and by means of which laid composite tiles can easily be lifted.
Abstract:
Multilayered pavers comprise adjoining outer sections of male components that are adjacent to each other with opposite and adjacent outer sections that define female voids that comport to male sections of the pavers. The multiple layer or three layer approach allows for multiple points of contact and retention of the pavers. Slanted top and bottom sections of protrusions allow for ease of insertion of one paver into the other. A cambered perimeter edge of a top layer of the paver allows for ease of attachment to machinery sometimes used to transport each paver to a desired spot and for insertion into an adjacent paver.
