Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes: a connector unit to which an external memory device is connected; a detecting unit configured to detect whether the external memory device is connected to the connector unit or not and output a detection result indicating that the connector unit is in a connected state or an unconnected state; a printing unit configured to execute a printing according to data from the external memory device connected to the connector unit; and a suspending unit configured to suspend operation of the printing unit according to a predetermined timing in response to a change in the detection result from the connected state to the unconnected state.
Abstract:
In a system comprising a digital camera-ready printer (10) which can print directly from a variety of digital cameras (12, 14, 16, and 17), the printer (10) includes a hot shoe receptor (31) to establish a convenient hot shoe link (23) between a digital camera (17) and the digital camera-ready printer (10). The digital camera-ready printer (10) includes a processor (50) that can identify the coupled digital camera (12, 14, 16, and 17) in order to instruct the digital camera (12, 14, 16, and 17) to transmit the frames of digital image data. The processor (50) can also convert the format of the digital image data to a predetermined image file format. The processor (50) of the digital camera ready-printer (10) along with a display device (32) allows a user to edit and manipulate an electronic image represented by a single frame of digital image data prior to printing.
Abstract:
A camera system comprising, in combination, a camera unit comprising a camera, a camera motion control and a wireless communication hub, a cellular phone or PDA having an image screen wirelessly linked to the lens of the camera unit, said cellular phone or PDA having a keyboard or touch screen by which a user may control the camera.
Abstract:
A camera system includes a video camera having a first mating mechanism defined on a bottom, planar surface of the video camera. A battery assembly contains an energy cell and a first surface of the battery assembly is releasably engageable with the mounting mechanism such that the battery assembly is suspended beneath the video camera, with the bottom, planar surface of the video camera in substantial contact with the first surface. A support apparatus having a second mating mechanism is also provided, the second mating mechanism releasably engaging a second surface of the battery assembly.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium housing apparatus in which a cover member is provided for protecting the connecter of a recording medium and external device, protection of the recording medium and the use of the connecter are compatible, and further secure recoding or reading on the recording medium is enabled. SOLUTION: The recording medium housing apparatus applied to a digital camera 1 comprises a card/connecter room 41 at a left side of the camera and a connecter cover 38 that is mounted with a waterproof packing 44 for opening and shutting. The card/connecter room 41 is arranged with a card slot 10 and its insert opening 41a, a video terminal 12 and a USB terminal 13, and a card cover 39 for opening and shutting the insert opening 41a. In a state in which the terminals are not connected after a memory card 20 is mounted, the card cover 39 is shut. Then, writing and reading of the memory card are performed with the connecter cover 38 shut, while in a state in which the terminals are connected, writing and reading of the memory card 20 are performed with the connecter cover 38 opened. Abstract:
A data transmitting device provided in an electro-developing type camera using a recording medium which electronically develops an image formed by a photographing optical system. A photographing optical system and an interface unit can be selectively attached to a lens mount of the camera body. The lens mount is provided with control data contact terminals and image data contact terminals. The control data contact terminals are used for transmitting first control data including lens information of the photographing optical system to the camera body, and for transmitting second control data between the camera body and the interface unit. The image data contact terminals are used for transmitting image data obtained by the electro-developing recording medium to the interface unit. The interface unit has an output terminal which can be connected to an external computer.
