An image forming apparatus includes a user interface unit that includes a scan area, an image reading unit that reads an image of a scan object disposed on the scan area, a driving unit that moves the image reading unit, a control unit that controls a function according to a position of the scan object, an operation performing unit that performs the function by using the read image, and a storage unit that stores information about the function corresponding to the position of the scan object. The scan area includes a determination area and a function area, and when it is determined that the scan object does not exist on the determination area, the control unit controls the operation performing unit to perform the function corresponding to the position of the scan object on the function area.

Pour gagner du temps et de l'espace en mémoire on commence la compression en JPEG d'une image acquise par un scanner (101) dès que le scanner à produit les premières lignes de l'image, et ce même si ces premières lignes correspondent à la fin de l'image. Cela est réalisé par la mise en mémoire du N-1 bloc qui permet de traiter le bloc N. Le parcours des bloc est lui aussi inversé, aussi bien dans une image que dans les composantes colorimétriques de l'image.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print unit capable of recording an image regardless of a conveyance direction. SOLUTION: The print unit 3 includes: a recording head 4 which jets ink to a recording medium K conveyed in either a normal or a reverse conveyance direction X; a page memory 33 where image data is divided into image data of one column to be recorded in each jetting timing and stored in order of jetting timing, and also the image data of one column are divided into image data of one dot and stored in arraying order of nozzles when the conveyance direction X is normal, and a control part 5. The recording head 4 has a shift register 42 latching jetting propriety data in every jetting timing and outputting it to the respective nozzles. The control part 5 controls the shift register 42 to memorize the image data in the page memory 33 as the jetting propriety data in storing order of the image data of one column and the image data of one dot when the conveyance direction X is normal, and to memorize it in a reverse order to the storing order of the image data of one column and also that of the image data of one dot when the conveyance direction X is reverse. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase productivity in consecutive scanning with secured image quality on the occasion of shading correction in an original sheet document scanning mode. SOLUTION: Before scanning one sheet of original document 50 carried onto a carried original document scanning glass 6 by original document automatic feeding means in the original sheet document scanning mode; optical scanning systems 10, 13 are moved to the side of a reference white plate 7, and a reference white plate 7 is scanned in a return direction toward the side of the carried original document scanning glass 6. In this way, it is necessary to beforehand acquire a black offset data of a reference of image data before scanning the reference white plate 7 on the occasion of shading correction in the original sheet document scanning mode, but it is possible to reserve a sufficient period of time until acquiring a white level after acquiring a black level, thus leading to possibility of operation even with a limited interval time between paper sheets. An image forming device according to the present invention includes: a user interface unit including a scan area on which a scan object is arranged; an image reading unit for reading the image from the scan area arranged on the scan area; a driving unit moving the image reading unit on the scan area; a control unit for controlling the operation of a function corresponding to the position of the scan object; an operation unit for operating a function using the read image according to the control of the control unit; and a storage unit in which the information on the function corresponding to the position of the scan object is stored. The scan area includes a determination area and a function area. The control unit controls the operation unit to operate the function corresponding to the position of the scan object on the function area when the scan object does not exist on the determination area.
