Abstract:
A patch panel includes a back plane having front mounted pairs of termination locations, and an interconnect location electrically connected to each pair of termination locations. The termination locations connect to two patch cords. The interconnect location defines an access device for selectively accessing the termination locations. An interconnect module interfaces with the interconnect location. The module can include test access, power over Ethernet, or circuit protection features.

Abstract:
A device for the covering of the position of the module within the modular distribution frame is provided. The device comprises a covering unit that can be placed onto the position. The module is designed that it can be arranged side-by-side with other modules on the frame-body and the construction of the module allows the introduction of the wires with their wire ends, which are intended to be connected to the module. The covering unit as such is designed so that it provides protection to the wires and the wire ends and to maintain the defined positions of the wires.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for a telephone system includes a telephony switch comprising a timing and switch array card for effecting all switching and timing functions of the switch, a plurality of telephony line cards operatively connected to the timing and switch array card, and at least one power supply operatively connected to both the timing and switch array card and the plurality of line cards wherein said timing and switching functions comprise tone and conference functions, line card slot and alarm board interface functions, PCM switching functions, signal scanning and signal packet transfer buffer support functions, host computer interface functions, and clock and synchronization functions.
Abstract:
The invention refers to a telecommunications system comprising a module rack that defines a core bay, a service plane and a rack interface plane where the service plane is transverse to the rack interface plane. The core bay is in part bounded by the service plane and the rack interface plane. The telecommunications system also comprises a series of electronics modules each defining an electronics orientation plane where each of the modules includes two opposed cooling surfaces oriented substantially parallel to the electronics orientation plane. Each of the electronics modules is removably secured within the core bay. The series of the electronics modules forms an array such that their electronics orientation planes are substantially perpendicular to both the rack interface plane and the service plane. The array also defines at least one coolant stream passage across each cooling surface. Further the telecommunications system includes a coolant movement means for moving a coolant through the coolant stream passages and across the rack interface plane. As such, the coolant convects heat away from the cooling surfaces of electronics modules more efficiently and effectively than found in the prior art as it, amongst other things, shortens the distance over which the inlet coolant is required to travel to cool the same functional density and provides a coolant to the passage at approximately a uniform temperature for each module.
Abstract:
A modular digital telephone system and method featuring a universal telephony shelf adaptable for incremental expansion of legacy telephone switches and as a building block in the construction of new telephony switches. The shelf includes identification and connectors for shelf pairing, and is adapted to receive redundant power supplies, plural line cards, and either a peripheral shelf interface unit or a switch array card which provides both a local shelf interface and three interface units for connection to the peripheral interface units of other shelves. System wide fault displays are provided.
Abstract:
A system of pots-splitter filter modules for ADSL comprises a support (12) consisting of a basement (14) with a pair of parallel rows of transversal fins (16, 18) rising from it, and a plurality of flat cases (22) each containing a plurality of pots-splitter filters, whose bases (32) have seats (34, 36) in which are receivable two respective side-by-side fins (16, 18) of the support (12). Each case (22) is provided, for each filter, with a port (26) for connection to the ADSL system, and a port (30) for connection to the user line, in which are removably insertable respective connectors (60) to which are connected the leads (76) from the user line and/or from the ADSL system.
Abstract:
An electric power and signal distribution system provides for connecting distribution modules (5) to one another in succession by means of connecting plates (28) and screws (29), and for connecting each distribution module (5) by means of screws (25) to a respective cabinet (3); each distribution module (5) having a duct (6), and at least one portion (15) of electric line which is housed inside the duct (6) and has a number of electric power distribution connectors (16).
