Abstract:
A coaxial connection assembly including a coaxial jack. The jack is positioned within a longitudinal opening of a housing. The first end of the jack extends through a first end of the housing and the second end of the jack extends through a second end of the housing. The jack may only be inserted within and removed from the housing through the first end and may be held within the opening by a catch. Rotation of the jack within the opening is prevented. The housing includes a mounting flange extending away from the longitudinal opening. The flange may be adjacent the first end of the housing, and may include an opening for receiving a fastener. Sidewalls may extend from the flange toward the second end.
Abstract:

Abstract:
The present invention develops improvements in telephone line connection and test modules, designed to facilitate connecting the general telephone network and the client branches when the conductors of the lines are of a different nature, whether symmetrical or coaxial. The construction of the invention consists, for each interconnection, of a coaxial cable connector (1) braced by two supports, an upper (2) and a lower (3) support, which direct it so that its contact terminals (4) necessarily insert into terminals (5) of the module, so that connector (1) can be directly inserted in the branch or couples side. The impedance adapter formed by transformer (6) and printed circuit (8) are housed in a removable part which consists of a cover (9) and a base (10).
Abstract:
Residential protection service center apparatus comprising AC power line overvoltage protection, telephone voice line overvoltage and overcurrent protection, high speed data line overvoltage and overcurrent protection and coaxial transmission line overvoltage protection, all tied to a common ground.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a jack assembly including a jack mount with a jack receiving region. A jack is adapted to be slidably mounted in the jack receiving region. The jack includes a jack body formed of a dielectric material and a plurality of electrically conductive tip and ring springs. The jack body defines a plurality of bores sized to receive plugs having tip and ring contacts. The jack assembly further includes a plurality of cross-connect contacts and a rear interface assembly including a dielectric support. A plurality of rear connectors project outward from the dielectric support, and a circuit board is positioned between the jack mount and the dielectric support. The circuit board provides connections between the cross-connect contacts and the normal contacts. An electrical interface between the jack and the circuit board is configured such that when the jack is removed from the jack mount, the jack is automatically disconnected from the circuit board.

Abstract:
A DSX system having a plurality of jacks mounted in a chassis, the jacks including IN and OUT ports accessible from the front of the chassis and tip and ring springs corresponding to each of the IN and OUT ports. The chassis also includes IN and OUT co-axial cable connectors electrically connected to the tip and ring springs of the jacks, and MONITOR co-axial cable connectors for use in monitoring signals transmitted through the IN and OUT connectors.
Abstract:
A switching coax jack module and jack component provide for a removable DSX jack which can be slid into and out of the front of a jack module housing without disconnecting other components of the jack module and without disconnecting the module from a chassis. The jack includes a projecting post, and two rear ports. The post and rear ports cooperate with a rear interface unit including two projecting plugs, and a port for the post. The rear interface unit may include a switch activated by the post for disconnecting two of the rear connectors of the module when the jack is mounted to the module and engaged with the rear interface unit.
