Abstract:
There is provided a method and system for archival and retrieval of communications and related documents that uses hardware and software to selectively monitor, capture, catalog and retrieve electronic communications and documents relating to the business of employees or individuals of the organization to effectively comply with applicable regulations, such as governmental regulations. Archived electronic communications and information are stored in a third party archiving system and accessible by authorized individuals using a secure network connection, such as an intranet web-service or web interface, or an online browser connection to search and retrieve selected archived data and information. The system and method for archiving and retrieving communications is advantageously implemented in an organization having a large volume of electronic communications and storage requirements.
Abstract:
A method comprising receiving at least one document that is associated with a life insurance policy; assigning a respective value to each of the at least one document, in which the value indicates a level of importance; determining a summation of the at least one document; determining an indication for the life insurance policy, in which the indication is based on the summation of the at least one document and at least one of the values; and displaying the indication.
Abstract:
The invention relates to methods and reagents for influencing alternative RNA splicing in living cells. More particularly, the invention relates to novel means for influencing RNA splice choice in living cells using polynucleotide-based reagents that compete for binding sites in nucleotide binding proteins, and novel methods for using these reagents as therapeutics.
Abstract:
Systems, methods and compositions for the purification, separation and analysis of anionic compounds, including polyanionic compounds are disclosed.
Abstract:
A streak detection method and system in a fixed imaging array digital scanning system obtains image data from each of the plurality of rows in the at least one full color spectrum channel set of rows of positionally discrete sensors and integrates this data to produce an estimate of image data recorded by at least one clear channel row of positionally discrete sensors. A clear channel error signal is generated by the comparison to alert the operator to the presence of non-image data. The clear channel error signal may be refined to through a low pass column filtering process in order to filter out potentially erroneous clear channel error resulting from thermal, mechanical or other noise sources unrelated to image scanning. Stationary obstructions in the field of view of the imaging array, or defects in one or more sensors in the imaging array, are detected through this comparison which would otherwise appear repeatedly reproduced as streaks or lines in the reproduced output image.
Abstract:
A lumbar extension machine is disclosed including a seat with an upright rotatable back member securable to a variable resistance module or statically secured to a load cell module. A lower body system is provide to optimize the exercise of the lower back by preventing movement and work by the hips and thighs. A pelvic restraint pad is located adjacent the seat and the seat is adjustable at the pad to insure that the iliac crest is properly located at the pad. An adjustable foot rest is provided to align the thigh with the seat angle after the seat height has been properly adjusted. The load cell provides strength testing to allow the clinician to determine relative strength and establish treatment parameters and monitor treatment progress and validate and quantify treatment results.
Abstract:
An aspect of the invention is physical layer interface for a network interface including a plurality of input/output pins. The input/output pins are coupled for being multiplexed into a physical layer interface selected from among a Reduced Gigabit Media Independent Interface and a Gigabit Media Independent Interface. The input/output pins internal to a programmable logic device are for access to and from a processor block located in the programmable logic device.
Abstract:
One embodiment of the present invention can comprise a primary flow measurement system, a secondary flow measurement system in fluid communication with the primary flow measurement system and a control coupled to the primary flow measurement system and the secondary flow measurement system. The controller can comprise a processor and a memory accessible by the processor. The processor can execute computer instructions stored on the memory to calculate a flow rate using the primary flow measurement system, in a first mode of operation, and calculate the flow rate using the secondary flow measurement system, in a second mode of operation. The computer instructions can be further executable to switch between the first mode of operation and the second mode of operation based on a predefined parameter.
