Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die release agent composition that is applied to a metallic die used for squeeze casting and low-pressure casting of metal and a metallic die used for die forging.SOLUTION: A die release agent composition contains: a mineral oil or a synthetic oil; a solid lubricant (talc, boron nitride, graphite, mica and molybdenum disulfide, etc., its average particle size is preferably 0.5-30 μm and its content is preferably 1-10 mass%); a thermosetting resin (may be selected from various kinds of phenolic resins, urea resins, melamine resins, etc. with different average molecular weights and be used according to requied adhesion); and a polymer compound (synthetic wax, polybutene, etc.). It is applied to the inner surface of a die for casting or forging.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for adjusting the friction coefficient of the surface of a metallic workpiece by applying and hardening a single-layer or multi-layer coating having a boundary surface facing toward the workpiece and having a boundary surface facing away from the workpiece, wherein one or more base coats each having at least one binding agent and metallic particles, is/are applied in layers, and at least one of the base coats has at least one lubricant. For proposing a possibility for the efficient use of lubricant in anti-corrosion coatings, it is provided that the friction coefficient is adjusted by a lubricant concentration and/or a lubricant composition on the boundary surface facing toward the workpiece that is different from that on the boundary surface facing away from the workpiece

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide granular solid wax particles that can be shipped in bulk in the hold of a large transport vessel.SOLUTION: This granular solid wax particle comprises highly paraffinic wax having a low T10 boiling point lower than 427°C and an inorganic powder coating, optionally with a layer of higher boiling wax over the highly paraffinic wax having a low T10 boiling point and an inorganic powder coating over the layer of higher boiling wax. In separate embodiments, the highly paraffinic wax having a T10 boiling point lower than 427°C or the highly paraffinic wax having a needle penetration value greater than 3 mm/10 at 25°C is coated with a powder that adsorbs the wax without being encapsulated by the wax in a hot drop test. Also a method for transporting highly paraffinic wax having a T10 boiling point lower than 427°C as granular solid wax particles, and a method for making base oil from granular solid wax particles transported from a distant location are provided.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide additives for lubricant for improving tribologic properties, to provide novel lubricants containing the additives, and to provide a process for the preparation thereof. SOLUTION: The lubricants contain nano particles, and the lubricants are characterized in that: the nano particles are ceramic particles which have preferably specified shapes and specified particle sizes and have specified thermal conductivity; the nano particles are dispersed in base material oil comprising natural oil, mineral oil and/or synthetic oil, ester oil or the like. The process for the preparation of the lubricants is also provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT

PCT No. PCT/CA97/00658 Sec. 371 Date Jun. 22, 1999 Sec. 102(e) Date Jun. 22, 1999 PCT Filed Sep. 11, 1997 PCT Pub. No. WO98/13445 PCT Pub. Date Apr. 2, 1998The present invention relates to novel lubricant compositions comprising a solid lubricant and a binding agent in water medium suitable for lubricating steel-steel interfaces such as tractor-trailer couplings, rail-wheel systems and other heavy duty applications. The invention also relates to compositions described above which include friction modifiers with high or very high and positive coefficients of friction such that the coefficient of friction is considerably higher than the solid lubricant. The invention further relates to compositions comprising a binding agent and a friction modifier with a very high and positive coefficient of friction in a water medium.
