Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel wire of a flat cross-sectional shape with excellent flexural fatigue strength than conventional one for reinforcing a rubber article and to provide a rubber article including the same.SOLUTION: The steel wire for reinforcing a rubber article 10 has a width direction cross section with a major axis and a minor axis, the major axis and the minor axis being substantially perpendicular to each other. When the major axis is denoted by W, the minor axis by T, a line passing through the center in the width direction of the major axis and parallel to the minor axis by L1, a line passing through the center in the width direction of the minor axis and parallel to the major axis by L2, an intersection point of L1 and L2 by a central point C, an area within half the distance from the central point C to a surface by a center area Rc, and an outer area of the center area Rc by a surface layer area Rs, the Vickers hardness Hvc of the center area Rc is greater than the Vickers hardness Hvs of the surface layer area Rs. Also, when the Vickers hardness on L1 in the surface layer area is denoted by Hv1 and the Vickers hardness on L2 in the surface layer area Rs by Hv2, the relation represented by Hvc-Hv1≤150Hvc-Hv2≤150 is satisfied.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishline obtained by using a stainless steel wire as a metal wire, produced by discovering a suitable condition for improving a tensile breaking strength characteristics of the metal wire by paying attention to the temperature and the tensile breaking strength characteristics of the metal wire subjected to high deformation wire drawing, and having improved bundling ability, curl resistance and water break characteristics as the fishline, and to provide a production method or the like thereof.SOLUTION: The fishline 2 that shows improved cohesion, curl resistance, drainage properties and so forth is produced by carrying out the wire drawing of a high deformation of from 95 to 99.5% as the total area-reducing ratio by using an austenite stainless steel wire obtained by subjecting the metal wire to solid solubilization treatment, accumulating low-temperature heat treatments in suitable conditions by each processing step of the metal wire, and/or utilizing the heat when forming a resin film on the fishline 2 to improve the mechanical strength characteristics of the metal wire, and twisting the resultant metal wires.
