Abstract:
Abstract:
A lubricant composition is disclosed which includes fumaric acid salts as the main lubricating ingredient dispersed in an aqueous medium which also includes an organic thickening agent and other optional materials. A hot forging process utilizing this lubricant composition is also described.
Abstract:
In accordance with the instant invention, a water-based hydraulic fluid, havrhg improved lubricity, anti-wear and corrosion inhibition properties can be obtained by blending a heteric or block polyoxyalkylene copolymer nonionic surface-active agent with a conventional water-based hydraulic fluid composition. These heteric or block polyoxyalkylene copolymers are the reaction product of a linear or branched active hydrogen containing compound having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms with alkylene oxides having from 3 to 6 carbon atoms and an oxygen/carbon atom ratio of less than 0.4. Alternatively but advantageously, said copolymers may also be reacted with alkylene oxide having an oxygen/carbon atom ratio of greater than 0.4.
Abstract:
Abstract:
An aqueous lubricant used for plastic working of metallic material which comprises (A) a water soluble inorganic salt, (B) lubricative agent selected from molybdenum disulfide and graphite and (C) wax, wherein the components are dissolved or dispersed in water, and wherein a concentration ratio (weight ratio) of (B) /(A) is in the range of 1.0 SIMILAR 5.0 and (C) / (A) is 0.1 SIMILAR 1. 0. And a method of lubricative film processing on a metallic material, in that the lubricative film formed by applying the aqueous lubricant is in a dried weight of 0.5 SIMILAR 40g/m . A water soluble inorganic salt (A) is preferably selected from the group consisting of a sulfate, a silicate, a borate, a molybdete and a tungstate. The wax (C) is preferably a natural wax or a synthetic wax which is dispersed in water and has a melting point of 70 SIMILAR 150 DEG C. The aqueous lubricant can be used for imparting excellent lubricity with ease to the surface of a metal having no chemical conversion layer formed thereon.
Abstract:
A water-based coolant contains: at least one inorganic acid salt selected from among carbonate, hydrogen carbonate, sesquicarbonate, phosphate, borate, molybdate and tungstate; and a metal corrosion inhibitor. The water-based coolant is excellent in cooling performance and unlikely to cause corrosion of a metal material to be cooled. Therefore, the water-based coolant is suitably usable as a quenchant or a cutting oil.

Abstract:
An aqueous lubricant for use in plastic working of a metallic material which comprises (A) a water soluble inorganic salt and (B) a wax, wherein the components are dissolved or dispersed in water, and wherein a solid concentration ratio (weight ratio) (B)/(A) is 0. 3 SIMILAR 1.5. and a method for producing a lubricative film, characterized in that a lubricative film is produced by applying the aqueous lubricant, preferably in a dried weight of 0.5 SIMILAR 40g/m , on the surface of a metallic material, providing no chemical conversion layer thereon, followed by drying. The aqueous lubricant preferably further comprises (C) a metal salt of a fatty acid in a solid concentration ratio (C) /(A) of 0.01 SIMILAR 0.4. The water soluble inorganic salt (A) is preferably selected from among a sulfate, a silicate, a borate, a molybdate and a tungstate. The wax is preferably a synthetic wax which is dispersed in water and has a melting point of 70 SIMILAR 150 DEG C. The metal salt of a fatty acid (C) is preferably obtained through reacting a saturated fatty acid having 12 SIMILAR 26 carbon atoms with a metal selected from among zinc, calcium, barium, aluminium, magnesium and lithium. The aqueous lubricant can be used for imparting excellent lubricity with ease to the surface of metal having no chemical conversion layer formed thereon.
