Abstract:
Disclosed is a process for preparing a molybdated succinimide complex, the process comprising: (a) reacting an alkyl or alkenyl mono- or bis-succinimide of a polyamine of formula I or formula II or mixtures thereof: Formula (I), Formula (II) with an α,β-unsaturated mono-carboxylic acid or carboxylic acid ester, and wherein the reaction temperature is in the range of from greater than 80°C to no greater than about 150°C; and (b) reacting the succinimide product of step (a) with an acidic molybdenum compound to provide the molybdated succinimide complex, wherein the molybdated succinimide complex is a liquid at room temperature.
Abstract:
Polar molecules dominated electrorheological fluids mainly comprising a mixture of dispersed phase of solid particles and/or dispersing liquid medium. The dispersed phase solid particles, on the surface, or the liquid dispersing medium contain polar molecules or polar groups, the dipole moment of which is 0.5-10deb and the size is between 0.1nm and 0.8nm. Dispersed phase solid particles are spherical or nearly spherical, of which the size is 10-300nm and dielectric constant is higher than 50. The conductance rate of the liquid dispersing medium is lower than 10 -8 S/m, and the dielectric constant is lower than 10. The PM-ER fluids possess the characteristics of high yield stress, high dynamic shear stress, low leakage current, the linear dependence of yield stress on electric field, and high yield stress at low electric field, etc. The yield stress improves to almost 100 times of that of ordinary ER fluids and reaches to more than 200Kpa.

Abstract:
A water-based composition for protective film formation, characterized by containing a water-compatible inorganic salt and a smectite clay mineral. By merely applying the composition to a surface of a metallic material and drying it, a coating film can be formed which is less apt to have spots and is even, and is equal or superior in processability and seizing resistance to coating films formed by a chemical treatment. In the case where the composition further contains a lubricating ingredient, the coating film can further have improved lubricity.

Abstract:
A use of a lubricant comprising at least one reaction product of mono-di- and/or poly-isocyanate with unbranched and/or branched, unsaturated and/or saturated, alicyclic poly-amine with carbon numbers from 5 to 24, at least between at least two elements, which are moveable against each other.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a lubricant composition for hot forming which makes it possible to provide lubricity at 80°C or more without being peeled or washed by the roll cooling water, and which is easily washed under 40°C without having water resistance. The lubricant composition for hot forming of the present invention comprises: a solid lubricant from 10 to 40% by mass; water-dispersible synthetic resin from 5 to 20 % by mass; inorganic acid amine salt from 0.5 to 5% by mass; and water from 45 to 80% by mass.
