Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
[Problem] To exchange the roller bearing that has been used in a scroll compressor mounted in an automobile with a m slide bearing. To provide a slide bearing having a performance that is at least equivalent to that of a roller bearing. [Solution] The slide bearing results from baking onto a back metal a sliding layer of 5-60 wt% graphite having an average diameter of 5-50 µm and a graphitization degree of at least 0.6, the remainder comprising a polyimide resin and/or a polyamide-imide resin. The form of the graphite has: (a) an average shape factor (YAVE) as defined of 1-4 for the particles excluding the minute particles that are no greater than 0.5 times the average diameter, and there being at least 70% by number of particles having a shape factor (Y) in the range of 1-1.5; or (b) graphite particles having a particle ratio of at least 0.5 being at least 50% of the total by number.
Abstract:
When performing piercing-rolling by use of a plug with a protection film on its surface, applying a lubricant made of an aqueous solution containing a total of 5 to 30% mass% of one or more of boron oxide, boric acid, and amine borate to the protection film on the plug surface, and using this plug for piercing-rolling makes it possible to realize the increase of the life of plug for piecing-rolling without reducing the efficiency of piercing-rolling, consequently allowing the efficient production of a seamless steel tube/pipe. Moreover, it is preferable that the plug is cooled after the piecing-rolling, the application of the above described lubricant is performed when the surface temperature of the front edge of plug decreases to 100°C or less, and the plug is reused for the piercing-rolling. In this occasion, it is preferable that the protection film on the plug surface is formed by arc spraying iron wire material onto the surface of the base metal of plug, and comprises oxides and Fe.
Abstract:
A threaded joint for an oil well pipe, characterized as having a screw part and/or a metal-metal contacting part with no screws which have, formed thereon, 1) a lubricating coating of an inorganic polymer having a skeleton of M (metal atom)-O (oxygen) and containing a solid lubricating agent dispersed and incorporated therein, 2) a phosphate coating and the above lubricating coating of an inorganic polymer, 3) a Cu plating layer, and the above lubricating coating of an inorganic polymer or a lubricating coating of a resin containing a solid lubricating agent dispersed and incorporated therein, or 4) the above lubricating coating of an inorganic polymer or the above lubricating coating of a resin, and a rust-inhibiting coating containing an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal salt of a carboxylic acid. The threaded joint for an oil well pipe can prevent the occurrence of galling in repeated make-up and break-out operations and at the same time secure high oil-tightness, with no use of a liquid lubricating agent such as a compounded grease.
Abstract:
A threaded joint for steel pipes having excellent galling resistance, rust preventing properties, and airtightness without using a compound grease comprises a pin and a box each having a threaded portion and an unthreaded metal-to-metal contact portion serving as contact surfaces. The contact surfaces of at least one of the pin and the box are coated with a multi-layered structure comprising, from the bottom, a first layer formed from a first metal or alloy, a second layer formed from a second metal or alloy which is softer than the first metal or alloy, and an uppermost layer of a solid lubricating coating comprising a lubricating powder in an organic or inorganic binder.
Abstract:
An image bearing member protecting agent including: a hydrophobic organic compound (A); an inorganic lubricant (B); and inorganic fine particles (C), wherein each of the inorganic fine particles (C) has a specific surface area of 2.0 m 2 /g to 6.5 m 2 /g.
Abstract:
Provided is a lubricant composition for seamless steel pipes or tubes working which totally satisfies various properties, such as storage stability, transferability inside an apparatus tube, sprayability to lubricated sites, and property of uniform adhesion to a high-temperature mandrel bar without losing non-carburizability or excellent lubricity to hard-to-work materials suchas 13 chromiumsteel and stainless steel. Prepared is a lubricant composition which has a viscosity property represented by the following approximate expression: . Y = a·X b wherein Y: viscosity (mPa·s),x: shear rate (s -1 ) ; and a: 4000 to 40000 and b: -1.0 to -0.3 while the lubricant composition is stored to be kept still, and a: 1000 to 20000, and b: -1.0 to -0.15 after 90 seconds from the time when shearing a lubricant composition is finished.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a new composite material comprising a porous matrix made of metal, metal alloy or semiconducting material and hollow fullerene-like nanoparticles of a metal chalcogenide compound or mixture of such compounds. The composite material is characterized by having a porosity between about 10% and about 40%. The amount of the hallow nanoparticles in the composite material is 1-20 wt. %.
