Abstract: There is disclosed a refrigerating machine oil composition which comprises, in the form of a blend, a base oil comprising a mineral oil or a synthetic oil and at least one species selected from the group consisting of a metallic salt of an inorganic phosphoric acid, e.g. potassium phosphate, an amine salt of an inorganic phosphoric acid, e.g. octylamine phosphate, a metallic salt of an organic phosphoric acid, e.g. dipotassium lauryl phosphate, an amine salt of an organic phosphoric acid, e.g. monooctylamine dioleyl phosphate, a metallic salt of an organic phosphonic acid, e.g. dipotassium oleyl phosphonate, an amine salt of an organic phosphonic acid, e.g. octylamine dilauryl phosphonate, a metallic salt of an organic phosphorous acid, e.g. sodium dioleyl phoshite, and an amine salt of an organic phosphorous acid, e.g. octylamene dioleyl phosphite. The refrigerating machine oil composition according to the present invention has excellent lubricating performance, enhances lubricity between an aluminum material and steel material, can suppress seizure and wear therebetween, does not bring about environmental pollution and thus is well suited as the lubricating oil for a refrigerating machine using, as the refrigerant, a hydrogen-containing Flon compound such as R134a.

Abstract: PURPOSE: Novel water soluble metal working fluid compositions are provided which are useful in cutting, grinding, shaping and other metal working operations which require a lubricant and are also anticorrosive and environmentally more acceptable than current oil based fluids. CONSTITUTION: The essentially odorless, substantially non-oil misting, water-soluble metalworking fluid comprises at least one component selected from a first Group A herein and optionally one or more components selected from a second Group B herein preferably with the balance of the composition being water and other (optional) minor ingredients. When a component is employed from Group A and a component is employed from Group B, the action of the combination generally enhances performance of the resulting combination with contain moieties from both Group A and Group B.

Abstract: A metal-working oil composition containing:- (A) one or more lube-oil components which are oils and fats, mineral oils or fatty acid esters; and (B) one or more polyetherpolyol dispersants which are made by adding alkylene oxides to polyalkylene- imines or -polyamines, alkyl- or alkylaryl-amines, or carboxylic acid amides, or their derivatives, e.g. polyetherpolyol derivatives having molecular weights of 300 to 600,000 and obtained by adding alkylene oxides to polyalkyleneimines. Incorporation of the polyetherpolyol permits, owing to its protective colloidal function, stable dispersion of the lube-oil component as large droplets in water and hence the resulting dispersion enjoys good circulation stability and withstands severe machining conditions.
