A method of producing a compacted article according to one embodiment may involve the steps of: Providing a copper/molybdenum disulfide composite powder including a substantially homogeneous dispersion of copper and molybdenum disulfide sub-particles that are fused together to form individual particles of the copper/molybdenum disulfide composite powder; and compressing the copper/molybdenum disulfide composite powder under sufficient pressure to cause the copper/molybdenum disulfide composite powder to behave as a nearly solid mass.

Disclosed herein too is a lubricant composition comprising a base oil; inorganic particles; and metal disulfide particles; the metal disulfide particles being dispersed in the base oil in the presence of an electrical field and a mechanical field. Disclosed herein too is a method comprising agitating a composition to form a lubricating composition; the composition comprising molybdenum disulfide, inorganic particles and a base oil; the agitating being conducted in the presence of a magnetic field that is greater than the earth's field, an electrical field or a combination comprising the magnetic field and the electrical field.

A nanolubricant composition is described where the lubricant composition includes a flowable oil or grease with a multi-component nanoparticle dispersed in the flowable oil or grease. The multi-component nanoparticle includes a first nanoparticle component which effects thermal conductivity at a part interface and a second nanoparticle component which effects shearing at a part interface.

A coated article system includes a substrate and a surface coating on the substrate. The surface coating is formed by depositing individual particles of a composite metal powder with sufficient energy to cause the composite metal powder to bond with the substrate and form the surface coating. The composite metal powder includes a substantially homogeneous dispersion of molybdenum and molybdenum disulfide sub-particles that are fused together to form the individual particles of the composite metal powder.

The present invention provides a lubricating oil composition for reducing a friction coefficient adjacent to the surface of being subjected to lubrication. In particular, the present invention provides nanoporous particles capable of being dispersed in a lubricating oil composition comprising base oil having a lubricant viscosity. Since the nanoporous particles having nano-sized, oil soluble pores according to the present invention reduces a friction coefficient, and in the long term, gradually releases an effective ingredient, the lubricating oil composition comprising the same of the present invention can act as a reducing agent for reducing friction for a long period of time, and thereby, exhibit excellent lubricant effects.

The subject of the invention is a method for increasing the strength properties of bearing sleeves and a unit for increasing the strength properties of bearing sleeves, to be used in manufacturing and regeneration of slide bearings with special working conditions, such as plane engines or rocket engines. Characterised by placing on the internal layer of the sleeve (T) a nanocomposite, graphene-like grease is placed, advantageously based on molybdenum disulfide, dissolved in anti-corrosion fluid, advantageously FC 111, in an amount of 2% to 10%, advantageously 5%, under the pressure within the range of 20 to 40 Mpa, advantageously 30 Mpa. This method is implemented in a unit characterized in that a cylindrical body, placed on a foundation (1) a sliding piston (2) is placed, having a central channel (3), connecting an impregnating chamber (4) with an impregnating socket (5), constructed in the pressing punch (6), in which a bearing sleeve (7) is placed, which has a hermetic connection of frontal surfaces with the operating surfaces of the punch (6) and upper surface of the piston (2), whereas in the external zone of the sleeve (T) the socket (5) has draining channels (8).

The fluorine containing oligomeric dispersant includes an anchoring group, a lipophilic hydrocarbon group, and a fluorinated oleophobic group. Further, a friction modifying lubricant additive is provided comprising a base oil, colloidal nanocarbon particles, a fluorine containing oligomeric dispersant, and at least one component selected from the group consisting of an antifriction component, an antiwear component, and an extreme pressure component.
