Abstract:
A lubricating grease is provided which is excellent in durability at high temperatures, inhibits the reaction between fluorine and steel and has a long life and a rolling bearing in which the lubricating grease is enclosed. The lubricating grease contains perfluoropolyether oil as a base oil thereof and fluorocarbon resin powder as a thickener thereof, a diurea compound having an —NH— bond in the molecular structure thereof, an organic-acid metal salt or a bismuth-containing compound such as bismuth sulfate. The rolling bearing has an inner ring and an outer ring disposed concentrically with each other, a plurality of rolling elements interposed between the inner ring and the outer ring, and a retainer dividedly holding the rolling elements.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to novel lubricant additives for improving the tribological properties, novel lubricants containing these additives, processes for the preparation thereof and the use thereof.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a friction control composition comprising a binder a rheological control agent, and optionally a lubricant. The liquid friction control composition may also comprise other components a wetting agent, a consistency modifier, and a preservative. The liquid friction control compositions may be used to modify the interfacial friction characteristics in sliding and rolling-sliding contact such as steel wheel-rail systems including mass transit and freight systems. A method of reducing lateral force, reducing energy consumption, or controlling friction between a metal surface and a second metal surface by applying the composition to metal surface, for example a top of rail or wheel, is also provided. The composition may be sprayed onto the rail surface.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a lubricant composition for hot forming which makes it possible to provide lubricity at 80° C. or more without being peeled or washed by the roll cooling water, and which is easily washed under 40° C. without having water resistance. The lubricant composition for hot forming of the present invention comprises: a solid lubricant from 10 to 40% by mass; water-dispersible synthetic resin from 5 to 20% by mass; inorganic acid amine salt from 0.5 to 5% by mass; and water from 45 to 80% by mass.
Abstract:
The invention relates to sheet metal or a sheet metal blank provided with a lubricant coating, especially an anti-corrosion oil of the Pre-Lube or Dry Lube variety. The sheet metal or sheet metal blank comprises a layer which is formed by applying a solution containing an organic phosphoric acid ester to the metal surface of the sheet metal. Sheet metal provided with said coating has excellent tribological properties.
Abstract:
A lubricating oil composition includes lubricating oil base oil, an organic molybdenum compound (A), zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate (B), at least one compound (C) selected from calcium sulfonate, calcium phenate, and magnesium sulfonate and having a base number of 230 mgKOH/g or more, and an ashless dispersant containing boron or a mixture of an ashless dispersant containing boron and an ashless dispersant containing no boron (D) in predetermined ratios, in which: a mass ratio (P/Mo) of the P content to the Mo content in the composition is 1.5 or more; a mass ratio (CaMg/Mo) of a total content of the Ca and Mg derived from the component (C) to the Mo content in the composition is 3 or more; and a mass ratio (B/N) between B and N derived from the component (D) in the composition is 0.5 or more. The lubricating oil composition of the present invention has a high static friction coefficient of wet clutch, has excellent frictional property in a power transmission mechanism, has excellent fuel saving property, and is suitably used for power transmission lubricating oil and engine lubricating oil.
Abstract:
The present invention provides compositions and products, such as waxes and lubricants, comprising a plurality of nanoparticles dispersed in a continuous phase comprising a vegetable oil derived material, such as one or more vegetable oils or a synthetic product derived from one or more vegetable oils. Incorporation of nanoparticles in the present compositions is beneficial for providing mechanical, thermal and/or chemical properties useful for a selected product or product application. In some compositions of the present invention, for example, incorporation of the nanoparticle component provides compositions derived from one or more vegetable oils exhibiting enhanced mechanical stability, hardness, viscosity, thermal stability and mechanical strength.
Abstract:
A waterborne composition for forming protective coatings to provide, by a simple method comprising coating and drying onto a metal surface, a coating that is uniform with little unevenness and that has an excellent galling resistance and workability that are at least as good as the corresponding properties afforded by conversion treatment methodologies, contains water-soluble inorganic salt and smectite-type clay mineral. The lubrication performance of the coating can also be improved when said composition additionally contains a lubricating component.
