    Abstract: PURPOSE: A production method of optical fiber preforms by modified chemical vapor deposition is provided, which performs stable doping of impurities and increases the amount of dopant by depressing the ends of quartz glass tube partially and doping impurities, especially semiconductor particles. CONSTITUTION: The optical fiber preforms are produced by the following steps of: forming the cladding and core layers in a quartz glass tube(52); sintering the core layer partially; depressing the ends of quartz glass tube where the cladding and partially sintered core layers are formed; and doping impurities, especially nano-sized semiconductor fine particles such as PbTe, PbS, SnTe, CuCl and CdSe, into the partially sintered part. Nonlinear optical fibers are also produced by the above method.

The single boot(35) has a multitude of alignment grooves(37) for guiding the single optical fiber(90). A multitude of single tubes(80) are inserted into the alignment grooves(37). The single optical fiber(80) is inserted into the single tube(80). One or more hardening agent injection hole(27) is formed an upper portion of the case member. A predetermined hardening agent is injected into the hardening agent injection hole(27). A connection groove(43,45) is formed in one side of the case member. A connection pin(63,65) is inserted into the connection groove(43,45).

    Abstract: PURPOSE: An ONU(Optical Network Unit) cable connector is provided to easily connect an ONU cable to an ONU box by separately composing a connecting unit housing and a diverging unit housing and to prevent the generation of stress in single core optical fiber by completely fixing an ONU cable in the diverging unit housing. CONSTITUTION: An ONU cable connector(1) comprises a connecting unit housing(30), a diverging unit housing(50), an optical cord holder(70), and a cable holder(90). The connecting unit housing connected to an ONU box is separated from the diverging unit housing holding an ONU cable. A male screw(35) is formed on the front face of the connecting unit housing to be thread-connected to an inlet of the ONU box. A space(33) is formed in the center of the connecting unit housing to thread-connect the diverging unit housing. An ONU cable(10) is completely fixed in the diverging unit housing. To install the ONU cable connector in the ONU box, the connecting unit housing is rotated and connected to the inlet of the ONU box without disassembling of the diverging unit housing. Thereafter, a heat shrinkable tube pasted with an adhesive agent is covered on the ONU cable connector. The heat shrinkable tube is heated and shrunken by applying hot air. Since the ONU cable is installed without disassembling of the diverging unit housing, damage on single core optical fiber is prevented and working hour is saved.
