Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a coating solution for forming a ferroelectric thin film, with which the ferroelectric film that has no cracks and uniformity is formed by one time coating and baking on a substrate such as platinum, iridium, and iridium oxide. SOLUTION: This coating solution for forming the ferroelectric thin film contains a solvent expressed by a general formula (1), R 1 O(CHCH 3 CH 2 O) 2 R 2 (each of R 1 and R 2 expresses a monovalent organic group independently selected among hydrogen atom, 1-4C alkyl group or CH 3 CO-) and an organometallic compound. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a newly rewritable heat-sensitive display medium with such advantages that the contrast is sharp and almost no change over time during repeatedly using the medium occurs and further, and that its manufacturing cost is low. SOLUTION: The rewritable heat-sensitive display medium has at least (i) a heat-sensitive information recording layer formed of a shape-memory resin containing a gas and (ii) a colored layer or an light reflecting metallic layer. The rewritable heat-sensitive display medium may have (i) the heat-sensitive information recording layer formed on both sides of the medium and also may have an adhesive layer (iv) between (i) the heat-sensitive information recording layer and (ii) the coloring layer or the light-reflecting metallic layer or may have (v) a protecting layer.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a film-forming composition that shows excellent storage stability of the composition and can form silica films giving a small difference in specific inductive capacity caused by firing conditions. SOLUTION: The film-forming composition includes (A) a hydrolyzed and condensed product obtained by hydrolyzing and condensing alkoxysilane in the presence of an alkaline catalyst and water, (B) at least one selected from the group consisting of ammonium salt and first through quaternary alkylammonium salts in an amount of 0.005-0.5 pt.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the component (A), calculated as completely hydrolyzed and condensed product and (C) an organic solvent and the pH is kept at 2-4. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic polymer composition for sole having high performance inherent in conventional 1,2-polybutadiene, including an oil-extended 1,2-polybutadiene with excellent flowability and colorability (high color clearness) and, in particular, having good appearance and abrasion resistance after molded, and to provided a sole material using the composition. SOLUTION: This thermoplastic polymer composition for sole comprises (A) an oil-extended polybutadiene and (B) a thermoplastic polymer other that the component A. The sole material is obtained by molding the composition. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation sensitive resin composition suitably used for simultaneously forming a projecting material and spacers of a perpendicularly aligning liquid crystal display element and to provide a projecting material and spacers formed from the composition and a liquid crystal display element with those spacers and materials. SOLUTION: The radiation sensitive resin composition contains [A] a copolymer of (a1) an unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or an unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydride, (a2) an epoxy-containing unsaturated compound and (a3) an olefinically unsaturated compound other than the components (a1) and (a2), [B] a polymerizable compound having an ethylenically unsaturated bond and [C] a radiation sensitive polymerization initiator. The projecting material and spacers are simultaneously formed from the composition and the liquid crystal display element has the spacers and projecting material. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition for film formation capable of obtaining a coating film low in relative dielectric constant and high in elastic modulus usable as an interlayer insulation film material for semiconductor devices, or the like, and even when a varnish is used together therewith, generating less foreign material even after long term storage. SOLUTION: The composition for film formation is characterized in that it contains (A) a hydrolytic condensate obtained when an alkoxysilane undergoes hydrolysis and condensation in the presence of a metal chelate compound and/or an acid catalyst and water, (B) a hydrolytic condensate obtained when an alkoxysilane undergoes hydrolysis and condensation in the presence of an alkali catalyst and water, (C) an organic solvent, and (D) water.
