Abstract: 본 발명은 접철식 목발에 관한 것으로, 어깨지지부(10)와, 상부 지지대(20, 20')와, 손잡이와; 하부지지대(40, 40')와, 받침대(50) 및, 미끄럼 방지캡(60)으로 이루어진 목발에 있어서, 제 1연결관체(70)와; 제 2연결관체(80) 및; 핸들콕(90)으로 구성되어 목발을 파지한 한 손으로 잠금수단인 핸들콕을 회전시켜 당기는 단순한 조작으로 상부지지대의 양측 브라켓을 연결하는 연결관체 내에 하부지지대의 양측 브라켓을 연결하는 연결관체가 삽입되어 회전하여 목발이 접철됨으로써 한번의 동작으로 신속하게 목발을 접을 수 있으면서도 그 구조가 간단하여 제품의 제작에 소요되는 비용 및 시간을 줄여 경제성이 탁월하고, 목발로 사용시 구조상 견고하고 튼튼한 구조가 될 뿐만 아니라 실수에 의해 쉽게 접히지 않아 고장 없이 장기간 안전하게 사용할 수 있으며, 접철에 의해 보관하는 장소에 제한을 받음이 없이 간편하고 용이하게 보관할 수 있는 각별한 장점이 있다.

이의 고안 요지는 전화기나 휴대폰과 같은 통신기기 몸체(1)의 자판(2)에 표시되는 숫자나 문자, 기호 및 그림등을 양각(3)이나 음각 또는 점자(4)로 표시한 것으로 이러한 자판(2)을 시각 장애인이나 약시자들이 손가락에 의한 촉각방식으로 상기 자판(2)을 이용하며 통신을 할 수 있게 한 것이다.
이는 그동안 상기와 같은 통신 기기의 이용에 소외 되어온 사람들이 편리 하게 사용 할 수 있어 매우 실용적인 효과가 있는 것이다.-
